Great morning! How are we faithing? One of the hardest things to do is to love the unlovable. I've had people hurt me and it was very hard to remember I hurt God with my sin but he still loved me. So much so that he sent his son to get me. He has done the same for you. With that understanding it becomes clearer when we think about what Jesus taught. Love is paramount. We can do this or that or be as perfect as we can and it still is just a pile of junk because works isn't anything by itself. When we really really love, our works improve because it couldn't do anything but. When we can see what Jesus sees, and it ain't always easy let me tell you, we begin to see past all the clutter and into the face of God and his love. We see people as loved ones of God and because we are the same we can overlook what the eyes see and see the heart. Are there evil people in the world? Yup. Are there people who will hurt me? Yup but with all that said it is not right to hate or judge. The law of the land may or may not but in the end God will judge them and I am responsible for obeying God's rules, not the worlds.
Joh 13:34-35
A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; even as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
Good morning! How are we faithing? Regardless of what someone says or does to you, do not speak badly of them. You have a problem with them, go to them. You are mad at them, don't sin in your anger. Calm down. Think about it and then approach that person. Too many times we lash out in anger only to apologize later. It seems to me it would be prudent to take a breath, pause, what ever and save those bad feelings that could manifest out of ire. Gossip is not wise. Gossip only makes things worse. It's not always easy to shut up but when our speech goes from praise, yes or no, we are rapidly approaching sin. This week lets think before we speak, pray first and quickly, think before we act. It will be beneficial for you and all you meet.
Jas 4:11-12
Speak not one against another, brethren. He that speaketh against a brother, or judgeth his brother, speaketh against the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judgest the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge. One only is the lawgiver and judge, even he who is able to save and to destroy: but who art thou that judgest thy neighbor?

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your Word that contains all truth and restrains us from doing evil. Help us understand what we read and apply it. Lord we ask for courage and wisdom to act and speak in a way that pleases you. Lord thank you for your blessings, in Jesus name, amen

Good morning! How are we faithing? I found a site that has old car ads and photos from long ago and besides the cool cars I started noticing the people. I started asking questions like,"did they know Jesus?" Chances are most of the people in the old ads are no longer with us and it really got me to thinking even further. Seeing the happy faces and lives lived long ago brought me to conversations I've had and also made what Like it's said many times in Ecclesiastics,"nothing new under the sun.". Truly there isn't anything new with the human condition. We do things with different stuff but we all strive for the same things. My uncle said it like this, "all a man needs is a job he can excel in, a little change in his pocket and some love at home." I would add a savior too. Without God all this becomes futile. When we look at the past we can see how things transpired and when we look way before our own life even started we can see how our ancestors reached out for the same things we are. It is so interesting to read the Word of God and see all this is in there. Do yourself a favor. Look beyond your own woes and see what the people before us did and learn from it.
Jas 1:5-6
But if any of you lacketh wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all liberally and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing doubting: for he that doubteth is like the surge of the sea driven by the wind and tossed.
Good morning! How are we faithing? You know, the more I deal with people the more I'm not really sure why God loves us. We are a messed up lot. We tend to do what our carnal desires dictate and then complain when things go badly. We keep pushing complete happiness outside of God even though all around us is the proof that is not possible. Why do humans refuse to see flaws and try to repair them? They keep doing the same things over and over and can't for the life of them understand why nothing improves. Pointing out the obvious here but we just keep on failing consistently in the same way seeking truth but refusing to accept it when it's presented. It concerns me that some will not find God in time and when they stand before him, it will be too late. I'm concerned for their eternity. I'm concerned for their welfare. Lord help us all see truth.
1Jn 5:10-15
He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in him: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he hath not believed in the witness that God hath borne concerning his Son. And the witness is this, that God gave unto us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath the life; he that hath not the Son of God hath not the life. These things have I written unto you, that ye may know that ye have eternal life, even unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God. And this is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us: and if we know that he heareth us whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him.
Do you see that? Instructions right there. If you are living carnally renouncing or ignoring the truth about Jesus your petitions go nowhere. Hard line man but it is what it is. Our job as believers is to show the non believers the path to pardon and salvation.
Heavenly Father,
Grant us wisdom to see truth. Grant us eyes to see, ears to hear and tongues that edify and not tear down. Lord, forgive my sins. Come into my heart and lead me. I have failed so often it's normal and I want to be abnormal to the world. I accept your grace. Lead me. In Jesus name, amen.
If you just prayed that, if you just accepted Jesus as savior, reach out to another believer.
Good morning! How are we faithing? Wowee! Yohoo! Great day to be alive! This relationship with God is so amazing. Not only am I redeemed but I can go to God anytime. I can expect things to take place that do in a loving trusting relationship. I know when I pray that he hears me and does what is BEST for me. He is not santa, he is not my personal genie or my rich uncle benefactor but rather a loving doting father that knows what is best for me and for his glory. His love is so huge that even if it means I stumble, fail, or simply stray he is constant and disciplines, loves, picks me up and dusts me off so I can press on with what I need to do. I know when I pray he will answer. I also know my prayer answers come at just the right time. I also know his answers are always the best even if I think opposite. I know some prayers are answered instantly and some take years because he knows what I have to learn. I ask for what I want but have realized, just like a loving Dad does, that he gives me what will be best. So many times in the past prayers were answered different than I prayed and I was better off for that answer therefore my trust is in him. Where are you? Do you trust God's answers implicitly?
Mat 7:7-8
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
for every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
Good morning! How are we faithing? Everyone you see today, God wants them to come to repentance. Everyone you see today has the gift of grace available to them. With that in mind, approach everyone you encounter with the same love and understanding that came to you when you found the gift of pardon. Be willing to share how Jesus died for them just like for us because God loves that person just like he loves you. Ever met someone who is militant about their unbelief? I sure have but you know what? So was the Apostle Paul. With that tidbit of info it causes me to not judge those who don't believe but to be who Jesus teaches us to be. We cannot take the chance because we are butt hurt to cause someone to miss the gift of pardon so when that person has gotten under your skin today and you are ready to slap the taste out of their mouth, remember who you are and who our savior is and how you and I found truth.
2Pe 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some count slackness; but is longsuffering to you-ward, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Good morning! How are we faithing? I watch relationships around me and some are really good and some really suck. It amazes me when I see a repeat of behavior that results in pain and anguish. Why is that? Guys tell me they are this or that man and they keep walking headlong into the same old junk and why? To please some sort of ideal in their head and even amid that continual anguish they keep making the same mistake. The Word tells us how we ought to behave so look at this and then we will continue;
Eph 5:25-30
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for it; that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word, that he might present the church to himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. Even so ought husbands also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his own wife loveth himself: for no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as Christ also the church; because we are members of his body.
What is so hard about this? Do we have such a view of our wives or future wives we would use and abuse then toss them aside? How ridiculous to think because they are the weaker sex we can treat them shamely. They are weaker in areas we are not. They are stronger in areas we are not. God designed them for us to be equals but the buck stops with us by design. Women may have trouble with this due to liberalism in the media and because of OUR failings in following and understanding of scripture. Guys, we gotta understand the whole council of God and start acting Christlike towards our other halves. Partners, not opposing sides. One flesh not two co-habitating out of convenience. You want a better marriage? You better act with the Word in the front of your mind. You better cherish her. Women, there's a whole lot of instruction in the Word for you too...

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your Word that is our instruction manual for living. Lord we lift our spouses and future spouses to you. Prepare us and prepare them. Open our eyes to our shortcomings and not theirs. Help us act lovingly and with dignity. Grant us wisdom to know what to do. Teach us to love as Christ does. In Jesus name, amen
Good morning! How are we faithing? Discerning truth sometimes is difficult. Physical truth is easy because of evidence. My car sputters, loses power, stops running, I look at the gas gauge and it is below empty, the evidence points to running out of gas. Emotional truth is hard because our emotions can cloud real issues. Parents many times don't see a problem because of the love for the child but that can go the opposite way due to fear or because of their own issues as a child. Spiritual truth is exposed by the Word. Without the Word of God spiritual matters become self serving or even serve the enemy. When one accepts the gift of pardon from Christ Jesus, spiritual things start to be revealed. The world can twist things up and our own rationalization can cause acceptance of lies as facts. We all need to be willing and make effort to seek out truth in the Word so when the enemy of God rears it's ugly head, in whatever form, we recognize it or at the minimum are compelled to check it out. No man or woman has 100% truth in their pocket and blind following can be dangerous. Men and women can be mistaken therefore we must be on guard and be in the Word daily. If we seek out God in everything and make that method habitual we are much less likely to be fooled.
Mat 6:33-34
But seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Be not therefore anxious for the morrow: for the morrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
1Co 1:30-31
But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who was made unto us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption: that, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
Rom 11:33-36
O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past tracing out! For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor? or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again? For of him, and through him, and unto him, are all things. To him be the glory for ever. Amen.

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your wisdom in your Word. Lord we ask for protection from the enemy as we go through our days. Grant us wisdom to act and to ask appropriately. Lord, heal mind, bodies and spirits today. Quicken us to your promptings. In Jesus name we pray, amen
Good morning! How are we faithing? Sometimes we get focused on things to the point we do ourselves harm. We miss the joy in a situation or we fail to see, like the old saying, that you are in a forest because of the tree. Now don't get me wrong here, we do have chores that need to be done but we have to count it all joy like the Bible says or we may miss a blessing for ourselves or others. Even when doing drudgery type of things our attitude towards them can bless others and our self. Whining and complaining only makes things harder. Look at this;
Luk 10:38-42
Now as they went on their way, he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at the Lord's feet, and heard his word. But Martha was cumbered about much serving; and she came up to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister did leave me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. But the Lord answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art anxious and troubled about many things: but one thing is needful: for Mary hath chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
There's so many things Martha could have done differently to enhance Jesus' visit but she got focused on the chore and not why the chore was before her. How would you have handled this situation differently? remember BennR family...
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for showing us a better way. Thank you for your Word. Lord we ask for peace and wisdom in all we do today. Help us see what is before us with your eyes. Lord we lift those hurting today and ask an out pouring of your Holy Spirit on us, in Jesus name, amen
