Great morning! How are we faithing? What a wonderful day to be here! I have had a person pop in my head continuously for a few years now. He is a non believer but if this guy came to the realization of Messiah, what an asset he would be! I cannot "convince" him nor is it our job to convince with words. Our job is to live according to the Word and to be examples for the lost. Many are not the type to preach or to quote scripture and thusly, keep their mouth shut. Those of you who feel this way, listen up. Your life, your compassion, your concern and prayer doesn't earn you a ticket to heaven but it is a manifestation of the love Jesus imparted when you accepted his gift of salvation. Do not concern yourself with being the ideal preacher because most people who discover this salvation find it by someone like you and the life changes they see. You only have to be ready to tell them how and why the change. Real change that is evident to the ones who knew you before doesn't require eloquent speeches or sermons. They require a testimony relating the love that saved you. That will be used by the Holy Spirit to convince.

1 Peter 1:3-9

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ; and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, obtaining as the outcome of your faith the salvation of your souls.
NAS

1 Peter 1:13-16
Therefore, gird your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance, but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; because it is written, "You shall be holy, for I am holy."
NAS

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for the cross. Thank you for your sacrifice for us. Thank you for forgiving our sins as heinous as they are. Lord we lift you up with honor and praise. We ask for the wisdom to recognise your movements. Lord we lift the lost to you. Bring them to you. Open their eyes to your wonder. Teach us to be humble and fruitful for your glory Thank you in Jesus name, amen

Good morning! How are we faithing? Here's some things to think about. Regardless of what you believe or what you adhere to in this life, that is which you are a slave to. If you believe in Aquaman as god then you will follow his commands. If you believe in nothing but self preservation than you are your own god. You know the true you. You know that there are people smarter and more talented than you. Can you do everything better than everyone else? Do you know everything about everything? No? Then you ain't god any more than Aquaman. The laws we have all heard, don't kill, don't steal, don't covet your neighbors wife etc, were just a few of the laws we were to follow in the old covenant and we were judged by them. Since Jesus came and fulfilled the law and was the payment for sins against the law, we are judged by grace because once you accept the covering of all our sins by Jesus, the sins are gone as far as east is from west. With that comes a freedom from worry about your destination. With that comes a peace because you don't fall asleep every night wondering if you were "good enough" today. With this we also let go of that inner self that we all know isn't all the nice sometimes. What ever you believe in rules your life. Whatever you report to, as it were, becomes slavery to that thing. I don't want to be a slave to my job. I don't want to be a slave to my church. I don't want to be a slave to my stuff or getting stuff. If you follow this logic you will see the truth and freedom a belief in a messiah that pays for you and hands over the prize to us...for free...

Galatians 5:1
It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.
NAS

John 8:31-33
Jesus therefore was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, "If you abide in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. "
NAS

Romans 6:13-14
For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law, but under grace.
NAS

Romans 7:6
But now we have been released from the Law, having died to that by which we were bound, so that we serve in newness of the Spirit and not in oldness of the letter.
NAS

Romans 8:2-3
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.
NAS

Good morning! How are we faithing? The woes we face everyday can be overwhelming. The things we deal with can make us bitter if we are not careful. I understand some things wind us up and I can even totally see why we may get very very angry. We as believers need to remember to not hold the grudge, not pay back and not to wish ill on anyone. Looking out beyond the immediate is an exercise in decision making that is very useful. Actions taken in the heat of the moment can have longer and worse effects on us than what ever triggered the response. We must be diligent about not letting our fire for goodness and righteousness go out. I am not speaking of doing good things only but of attitude and listening to the spirit that prompts biblical behavior. We sometimes wonder why the Word tells us things that seem so contrary to our gut or the worlds answer. Yes indeed our gut can betray us because after all, we are sinners in the flesh. Our salvation is spiritual and as long as we occupy this vessel, sin will abound. Get that? I don't know about you but I've learned to question or rather compare my gut reactions to the Word because lets face it, I am a scoundrel deep down. Without our savior we would be left to our own devices and just look around to see how that turns out. Take the time today and every day to seek God's face in everything you do and say. Take the time to seek truth from the source...Jesus

1 Thessalonians 5:19-22

Do not quench the Spirit; do not despise prophetic utterances. But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good; abstain from every form of evil.
NAS

Titus 1:8-9
holding fast the faithful word which is in accordance with the teaching, that he may be able both to exhort in sound doctrine and to refute those who contradict.
NAS

1 Corinthians 9:24-27
Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win. And everyone who competes in the games exercises self-control in all things. They then do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. Therefore I run in such a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as not beating the air; but I buffet my body and make it my slave, lest possibly, after I have preached to others, I myself should be disqualified.

Great morning! How are we faithing? It's quite wonderful to know that we are forgiven, redeemed as it were. We still fumble and trip but no longer do those missteps condemn us. With that knowledge in mind we are truly free from the shackles of sin. Do we still sin? Yes. Do we pay for those sins? On earth we do. The cool thing is judgement isn't from our actions anymore but our faith in the savior, Jesus the Christ. With that in mind we are responsible for walking the path of God verses the ruler of this world. We must seek out God's wisdom instead of the ruler of this world simply because we have come to the realization his doesn't work but God's does.

2 Corinthians 1:3-6

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For just as the sufferings of Christ are ours in abundance, so also our comfort is abundant through Christ.
NAS

1 Thessalonians 5:1-11
Now as to the times and the epochs, brethren, you have no need of anything to be written to you. For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night. While they are saying, "Peace and safety!" then destruction will come upon them suddenly like birth pangs upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day should overtake you like a thief; for you are all sons of light and sons of day. We are not of night nor of darkness; so then let us not sleep as others do, but let us be alert and sober. For those who sleep do their sleeping at night, and those who get drunk get drunk at night. But since we are of the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation. For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with Him. Therefore encourage one another, and build up one another, just as you also are doing.
NAS

Good morning! How are we faithing? There's a whole lot happening in the world and we can get really distracted with events. I constantly wonder what is next, who is who in the grand scheme of things and what my role in all this is. Do you do that? Do you wonder sometimes if you even matter? I was pondering past events when memories were triggered after a news story and realized that as small an influence my vapor like life has been, impact was indeed felt. I can name 7 lives off the top of my head that would not be had I not taken the turns I had. Insignificant your life is you say? I think not. That is not a boast but a realization of impact we all have. This is not to burden you but to make you stand up, pay attention and seek wisdom from the only source that is 100% reliable, God's Word. If we make choices based on worldly systems, we will reap worldly results. If we make choices based on Godly principles, we will reap Godly results. It stands to reason that following God will always be correct even when it defies the world or even logic at the time. We are capable of looking back with 20-20 vision and see where we came from. Things that we endured led to who and where we are now. The most obvious for some of us are our children. They have been the coolest thing in my life,(even though I don't see them much anymore). Right now you may be in the middle of some awful times but let me reassure you, it will change. You will come out the other side when you concentrate on Jesus and not the woe. Time has proven this will end even though it hurts terribly. Pray to him, talk to him, scream at him, cry with him but by all means seek him in your despair and in your joy. Our anchor in all this we see and do has got to be Jesus. Without him, oh boy...

1 Peter 2:9-10
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; for you once were not a people, but now you are the people of God; you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
NAS

1 Peter 5:6-7
Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety upon Him, because He cares for you.
NAS

Luke 12:25-32
"And which of you by being anxious can add a single cubit to his life's span? "If then you cannot do even a very little thing, why are you anxious about other matters? "Consider the lilies, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin; but I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory did not clothe himself like one of these. "But if God so arrays the grass in the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, how much more will He clothe you, O men of little faith! "And do not seek what you shall eat, and what you shall drink, and do not keep worrying. "For all these things the nations of the world eagerly seek; but your Father knows that you need these things. "But seek for His kingdom, and these things shall be added to you.

Good morning! Faithing, how are doing with it? I hear lots of people whining and complaining about their bosses. I also have seen people who try to find ways to cheat their employers. I've had people under me justify their behavior with "they owe me". Man, that attitude is so wrong. That way of doing things will end up biting them on the butt. These are the people that are the first to be let go in a crisis and they respond with,"see, told you!" They reaped what they sowed. You know, I understand that not all work places are run right. I understand not all decisions are correct but I also understand that when I am not in charge that my obedience is required. The only exception is if it is contrary to the principles of God or the law of the land. I also realize if it's that bad, I can leave. If I can't leave it is up to me to be the best employee I can be. It is up to me to be an example of Christ's ways. Venting to your spouse or friend is fine for relieving stress but pray for our bosses and leaders is scriptural. Be honest when you pray also. Express that you want to slap them but know you need to lift them up. I'm telling you, you will see change in perspective, in performance and in your satisfaction. Realize this may not be instantaneous because your mindset needs adjusting as much as the leaders...

Titus 2:9-10

Urge bondslaves to be subject to their own masters in everything, to be well-pleasing, not argumentative, not pilfering, but showing all good faith that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in every respect.
NAS

1 Timothy 6:1
Let all who are under the yoke as slaves regard their own masters as worthy of all honor so that the name of God and our doctrine may not be spoken against.
NAS

Colossians 3:22
Slaves, in all things obey those who are your masters on earth, not with external service, as those who merely please men, but with sincerity of heart, fearing the Lord.
NAS

Ephesians 6:5-6
Slaves, be obedient to those who are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in the sincerity of your heart, as to Christ; not by way of eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart.
NAS

Good morning! Is your faithing going well? We all have times where we struggle with keeping faith vibrant due to sickness or circumstances. A couple got killed in a motorcycle accident around here recently, bet their kids are struggling. Some have lost their home because they're out of work, bet they're struggling. Some people that have gotten the word they have a terminal disease, bet they're struggling. Here's the thing to remember when we enter into these things, God is not punishing you. Retribution is not his game. The evil minions are laughing in the corner while we dole out blame. Things happen because of the economy, the bad choices made by others, things break, inattention etc. The reasons most times do not matter, the pain is what is real. When you find yourself in the midst of trials and tribulations you have got to maintain focus on God or you will succumb to circumstances. Grieve for a season but maintain faith and love that Jesus has instilled because that is something that has not wavered.

Psalms 121
I will lift up my eyes to the mountains;
From whence shall my help come?
My help comes from the LORD,
Who made heaven and earth.
He will not allow your foot to slip;
He who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, He who keeps Israel
Will neither slumber nor sleep.
The LORD is your keeper;
The LORD is your shade on your right hand.
The sun will not smite you by day,
Nor the moon by night.
The LORD will protect you from all evil;
He will keep your soul.
The LORD will guard your going out and your coming in
From this time forth and forever.
NAS

Isaiah 43:1-5
But now, thus says the LORD, your Creator, O Jacob,
And He who formed you, O Israel,
"Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by name; you are Mine!
"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they will not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched,
Nor will the flame burn you.
"For I am the LORD your God,
The Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I have given Egypt as your ransom,
Cush and Seba in your place.
"Since you are precious in My sight,
Since you are honored and I love you,
I will give other men in your place and other peoples in exchange for your life.
"Do not fear, for I am with you;
I will bring your offspring from the east,
And gather you from the west.

Great morning? How in the world are we faithing? The things that whoop us on earth are rooted in our own selfishness. We whine about our comfort and throw hissy fits over things that just are just not that important in the grand scheme of things. Watching those 33 miners come out of the ground after 69 or so days of being trapped, we start to ponder things. I'd be willing to bet those men in that predicament were not real concerned with their car or their house or the clothes on their backs. I'll bet slow traffic didn't cross their mind. I'll bet sitting through a boring sermon or a horrible performance became very appealing. Take time today to put your priorities into perspective and to really see how you see your own situation. Hopefully the things that gripe your backsides will fall to a much lower place because being able to do or see anything is sure better than being in a hole underground.

1 Peter 1:14-21
As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance, but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior; because it is written, "You shall be holy, for I am holy." And if you address as Father the One who impartially judges according to each man's work, conduct yourselves in fear during the time of your stay upon earth; knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ. For He was foreknown before the foundation of the world, but has appeared in these last times for the sake of you who through Him are believers in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.
NAS

Good morning! Are you faithing well? It is a tough time when you feel persecuted. It is hard when your self image is a reflection of the world. We that believe have got to be wise when it comes to how we see ourselves. Many a person has fell into deep depression and even committed suicide over a false impression of ones self. Where do you suppose that image has its origins? This world can be a wonderfully beautiful place and it can also begat some pretty awful things. Subtle influxes of random thoughts can plant and grow into vile horrible things that whoop us on many levels. The playboy image of a woman, the sports illustrated image of a man are both images that kill self worth. You and I are what we are and need to be more concerned with substance rather than the eyes view. Yes we must take care of the physical but remembering that this vessel is temporary sure sobers the mindset. Perpetual youth is a silly concept because it is self serving. Self serving leads to selfishness which leads to arrogance and or self condemnation which then leads to destruction. Destruction in different ways but destruction never the less. Our focus has got to be in line with God's view of us. He loved you and me so much he provided a way of redemption from evil and from sin. That being the case, why would we be so down when a man or woman, a created being, disses us? Why would we allow a comment destroy us to the point we withdraw from everything? Makes no sense. So if you are one who has succumbed to these accusations from the enemy, regardless how it was delivered, please listen and heed...seek God and seek him fast. Don't delay because ultimate destruction that lasts a gazillion times longer than this short life is what you will see otherwise...think about that...

Isaiah 26:3-4

"The steadfast of mind Thou wilt keep in perfect peace,
Because he trusts in Thee.
"Trust in the LORD forever,
For in GOD the LORD, we have an everlasting Rock.
NAS

Romans 8:34-38
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Just as it is written,
"For Thy sake we are being put to death all day long;
We were considered as sheep to be slaughtered."
But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.
NAS

Romans 8:26-28
And in the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
NAS

Ascribe to the LORD the glory due to His name;
Worship the LORD in holy array.

Good morning! Are we faithing? Forgiveness. One of the hardest things to do sometimes. Forgiving ones self is probably the toughest. You screw up, you realize it, you berate yourself over it and the enemy has a way in to throw it back at you. Someone hurts you deep. You think you have forgiven them,(you said it didn't you?), but when ever they come near that feeling rises up again. Denial. You refuse to accept them,"I forgive them but I will not forget", being conscious of danger is fine but we do have to forget the infraction. We may choose to not hang out with that infractee but is it just that their personality drives you nuts or are you still harboring resentment? These are things that haunt us all. We need to make a conscious effort to truly forgive and to get past the hurt feelings. Like we've said before, the root of it, like most things is selfishness. Wahhhh! You hurt my wittle feewings! Grow some skin there and realize you've done it too! Inadvertently and on purpose. We all have lashed out when our feelings have been rubbed to hard. We flat HAVE to to what is right for no other purpose but it's right. We HAVE to forgive at a minimum to save our own spiritual self and because God told us to. Your feelings will heal but if we don't obey God, they wont. Here's an example and I want you to think about this while applying it to situations you encounter this week;

Exodus 23:4-9

"If you meet your enemy's ox or his donkey wandering away, you shall surely return it to him. If you see the donkey of one who hates you lying helpless under its load, you shall refrain from leaving it to him, you shall surely release it with him. You shall not pervert the justice due to your needy brother in his dispute. Keep far from a false charge, and do not kill the innocent or the righteous, for I will not acquit the guilty. And you shall not take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the clear-sighted and subverts the cause of the just. And you shall not oppress a stranger, since you yourselves know the feelings of a stranger, for you also were strangers in the land of Egypt.
NAS
