Good morning! How are we faithing? Lots of things bouncing around this head. Videos with arguments for and against the theory of evolution, news of Bin Ladins' demise, the people in the south dealing with the aftermath of the tornado's last week, the economy, oil prices etc. It would cause any normal person to step back and question everything. Who to believe. The news agencies have an agenda and put their slant on things. There are groups for just about anything imaginable out there demanding rights. There's a whole lot of people pushing others aside selfishly to gain perceived ground. Not everybody is gonna agree on everything with you or me so instead of selfishly demanding our way, why not give a hand up rather than criticize? Present your view when asked and don't take it as a personal attack if disagreement comes. The Word tells us to be ready to present Christ and the only way you can do that is to be prepared. Read the Word. Pray. Be convinced yourself. I don't have all the answers and you wont either but being able to present what our savior has done for us is what is called testimony and a testimony cannot be argued with. It happened to you or me therefore it can't be refuted. We live according to the Word and what we believe and that will prove that belief to the world. Just think and pray today about these;

Jude 22-23
And have mercy on some, who are doubting; save others, snatching them out of the fire; and on some have mercy with fear, hating even the garment polluted by the flesh.
NAS

Galatians 6:1-5
Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.
But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.
For every man shall bear his own burden.
KJV

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for truth that defys the worlds logic. Lord, convince us with clarity and wisdom so we can stand. We ask for forgiveness and help when we doubt things. Lord we know you are just and true it just seems some details get twisted and turned with mans logic. Help us focus on you and the truth in your Word. Help us not be deceived when the enemy attacks. Plant in us a desire to learn your principles without seeking ear tickling. In Jesus name, amen

Good morning! How are we faithing? Wow what a Monday. Number 1 fugitive was killed. The nation is celebrating. Why am I uneasy? Why am I sad on one hand and elated on the other? I'm elated because justice has been served. I am sad because of all the lives lost to achieve this goal and the thought that many died not knowing Jesus the savior. It saddens me when anyone dies without knowing of this grace that Messiah offers. This grace and forgiveness of sins has not a thing to do with denominations or which church we go to or anything we do other than accept, believe and seek Jesus the messiah. Much harm has been done by dogmatic adherence's. Many killings have been done on the basis of disagreements on how to earn acceptance from God. Utopian life on this planet is never going to be achieved by our works whether by legislation or anything we do. The only way to paradise is by a saving knowledge of Jesus the Christ. Of course one with any sense of how the "world" works is on the alert for retaliation and "Jihad" type of activity and that just saddens me more because the same attitudes perpetuate. Read your Word today. Discover that Jesus died for all our sins. This Christianity is about love, grace and salvation. I don't care what you've done, the salvation is yours for the asking. I am not in any position to judge or command your behavior as you are not mine. We are to love as we want to be loved. We are to forgive how we want to be forgiven. Chew on that and remember those last two statements the next time you catch yourself pointing fingers.

Galatians 2:16

nevertheless knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we may be justified by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the Law; since by the works of the Law shall no flesh be justified.
NAS

Romans 3:10-12
as it is written,
"There is none righteous, not even one;
There is none who understands,
There is none who seeks for God;
All have turned aside, together they have become useless;
There is none who does good,
There is not even one. "
NAS

Ephesians 2:1-9
And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places, in Christ Jesus, in order that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast.
NAS

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for grace that saves a lot like us. Lord, humble us and make us aware of your love for us. We plead the blood of Jesus on our sins. We accept theis gift and ask for wisdomto live a righteous life. We ask for the gift of compassion and mercy. Lord we honor and adore you. We seek your ways and ask for guidance so we do not betray you. Help our country come back to you, in Jesus name, aman

Great morning! How are we faithing? A common theme as of late is attitude. We've discussed it here before and it has come up a couple times at my church. I watch the news and everybody is picking on someone else. The commentary shows don't bother me much. If the talking head gets out of line, I turn it off. Other shows talk about how great it is to be rich and famous and the following show tells tales of despair, indulgence and the fall. So is the attitude and demeanor based solely on success? Can we only be happy with ourselves when all is perceived perfection? Don't be ridiculous! The Word is full of missteps. VH1's "Behind the Music" has the same old story's; struggle, dues paid, success, excess, fall...and it keeps repeating. "Wont happen to me!"...please...Our attitude makes our outlook either good for us or not. We can maintain a good outlook even in the midst of adversity. Not that fake "I'm ok" but a real deep down contentment and security that only comes with a realization of our place. Our knowing that Jesus loves me, Jesus already paid for my screw ups and I am redeemed. Not better than anyone just redeemed. I am now acceptable in God's eyes. Because he loved us so much and gives a hoot. He never wavers, man and stuff does. The temporary happiness the world gives is so fleeting. Just think about these things today when junk starts to happen. Don't get mad at the slowpoke ahead of you. Don't get butt hurt at that cross word. We just don't know the circumstances those people are in and an encouraging word from may be all it takes to halt a dismal day or even stop them from causing harm. Think about it.

Hebrews 12:28-29

Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
For our God is a consuming fire.
KJV

1 Peter 1:3-8
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ; and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory,
NAS

Heavenly Father,
We praise and honor your holy name. We seek your face daily and anguish over our mistakes. Grant us that peace that passes all understanding. Teach us to be shinning examples of your light. Let us see the security we have in you even when all gets rough. Let your love shine through us so big people are drawn to know the salvation we know. Bless those mentioned in Jesus name, amen

Good morning! How are we faithing? Reading the stories in the old testament reveals many principles and ways of trust in the Lord. The times were sure different and the culture was definitely odd to our western culture but the mankind experience is the same. We are made in God's image and that does not change from generation to generation. The same things that plagued those people plague us today. Thievery, lust, distrust, betrayal but also love, honor and pleasure. These stories really come into focus when we approach them from a principle standpoint and not the supporting things contained within. Some things like chariots, swords, field planting and sowing were strange compared to cars, guns and combines but the events show the same behavior and concerns. Take the time to reread the story of Abraham, Joseph, Job, Noah and so forth. Picture yourself in those times but in your surroundings. It brings the plight and the salvation of the Lord back into focus. Start by reading Genesis, awesome stories and awesome lessons.

Heavenly Father,
Open up our hearts and minds to your ways. Let us see clearly you glorious presence in our own lives. Thank you for being constant and trustworthy in our lives. We ask blessings on all those who read this daily. Strengthen and cleans the minds of the clutter of our days. Reassure those who feel worthless and let them know you understand and love them. Teach us to see truth in all situations and act accordingly, in Jesus name, amen

Good morning! How are we faithing? It is interesting that Jesus came and taught to lay people as well as to the Rabi's and scholars. It never was set up so just the leaders of the church were learned of scripture. He never meant for knowledge of him and the father be doled out by the hierarchy of the "church". Wisdom and knowledge is for all believers. Yes there were times in the past when a large majority of people were illiterate and had to be fed the Word but that was never the intention of Jesus. A saving knowledge of Jesus the son is for all mankind in every position. Never thought about this? Well now you have been told and it is up to you to seek that wisdom and dive into the Word for what God wants to teach you.

John 6:35-40

And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not.
All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
KJV
John 6:45-46
"It is written in the prophets, 'And they shall all be taught of God.' Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father, comes to Me.
NAS

Remember Debbie Sinclair...remember Michael Lance...

Heavenly Father,
' Open up your Word to us. Show us your will for our lives. Remove the blinders from our eyes. Grant us the courage to stand for what you show us. Do not allow a person of position sway us from the truth. Lord we lift those mentioned today to you and all those unspoken concerns. We lift up those who operate in the wrong, Remove the blinders so they see truth. We praise your name, in that same name of Jesus, amen

Good morning! How are we faithing? Read this below and ask some questions;

John 8:1-11
But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. And early in the morning He came again into the temple, and all the people were coming to Him; and He sat down and began to teach them. And the scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman caught in adultery, and having set her in the midst, they said to Him, "Teacher, this woman has been caught in adultery, in the very act. "Now in the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women; what then do You say?" And they were saying this, testing Him, in order that they might have grounds for accusing Him. But Jesus stooped down, and with His finger wrote on the ground. But when they persisted in asking Him, He straightened up, and said to them, "He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her." And again He stooped down, and wrote on the ground. And when they heard it, they began to go out one by one, beginning with the older ones, and He was left alone, and the woman, where she was, in the midst. And straightening up, Jesus said to her, "Woman, where are they? Did no one condemn you?" And she said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said, "Neither do I condemn you; go your way. From now on sin no more."]
NAS

So they scribes and the Pharisees were trying to trip Jesus up. It was one of those questions like "have you stopped beating your wife?" where any answer to the question incriminates oneself. Jesus seeing the ploy stood with wisdom and turned it right back on them. For the questions; was he condoning her actions? Was he being accusatory on all involved? Do you think the woman thought she got away with it? Do you think she continued in adultery? What did he write on the ground? Where was the guy she was committing adultery with? Why didn't the scribes and Pharisees bring him too? Seek these answers yourself by going to your bible, whether on line or in paper, seek the principles shown here.

Remember Marie Daigle...remember John and Steven Wyatt...

Heavenly Father,
Reveal your truths. Open the Word up to us and let us see your ways. Teach us to dwell on and learn how we are to live. We lift those mentioned today. Heal the wounds of all sorts. Be with those out in the world who feel destitute and hopeless. Help us see them and act accordingly, in Jesus name, amen

Good morning! How are we faithing? If you haven't seen "The Passion" or haven't for a long time, this is the time. We need to remember just how brutally our savior was beaten and killed. The wonderful news though is that after he lay in the tomb, he got up and walked away from it. The wrappings were found on the slab he laid on and the face napkin was folds and placed on that slab. The folded napkin symbolized Jesus was not finished. A wadded up napkin means finished but he folded it. Details that go largely unnoticed but are indeed significant. We meet people every day that need to understand that Jesus' brutal treatment death and resurrection was done for all of us and when we accept that and listen to the Word that assures us of our place in heaven with him, well, our rebirth happens and all of our sins are taken care of. Man, if this were all a huge hoax, it would have been debunked ages ago and we wouldn't even be having this conversation. 500 hundred witnesses saw Jesus after they saw him croak. Now that is significant. A handful, conspiracy, a couple, nuts but 500? And most were still alive when the new testament was written. Many of the Apostles were tortured and killed for these statements. If tit were not true, at least one of em would have caved upon torture. This Sunday commemorates Jesus resurrection and our rebirth. Remember that you are loved enough by the creator that he sent his boy to go atone for our sins so then he would be able to look upon us.

1 Corinthians 15:3-8
For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. After that He appeared to more than five hundred brethren at one time, most of whom remain until now, but some have fallen asleep; then He appeared to James, then to all the apostles; and last of all, as it were to one untimely born, He appeared to me also.
NAS

Romans 8:1-4
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
NAS

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for the cross. Thank you for sending your son for us. Lord we don't understand who or why but we accept your Word. Lord, forgive us as we are not worthy of your love. We ask forgiveness and wisdom for all . Teach us to be kind and loving as your son is. Grant us the wisdom to see beyond ourselves. As we commemorate this Sunday as the day your son overcame death we ask for a spiritual rebirth and an opening of our hearts to the things we need to be aware of. In Jesus name, amen

Good morning! How are we faithing? I love history. I love reading about the events and seeing myself there in my minds eye. History repeats. History teaches and we seldom listen. We feel we are the only ones who ever or is enduring our present circumstances. We tend to think we are the nucleus of the universe. We think the guy in front of us that is driving real slow is doing it to us. We think the person ahead of us in the check out line is purposely slowing down to make us late. No? Then why are you complaining? Maybe that driver is scared out of his wits on that curve or maybe someone they love died on this road. Maybe that person at the check out has bad vision or is mourning the loss of a child and can't focus. Maybe that guy driving slow just caused you to miss a severe accident ahead that you would have been involved in. Maybe that slow person in line needs some encouragement that they can go on. We need to stop focusing on our needs and our desires when they portray selfishness. We need to take that second to look deeper into a situation and not our own inconvenience. We've had similar talks like this before but we are approaching Easter and what that means, lets take the time and condition our responses so we reflect what Easter is about and not what the world thinks. I'm just saying...
Galatians 6:6-10
And let the one who is taught the word share all good things with him who teaches. Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh shall from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit shall from the Spirit reap eternal life. And let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we shall reap if we do not grow weary. So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all men, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.
NAS

Ephesians 5:15-18
Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men, but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
NAS

Colossians 4:5
Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity.
NAS

Psalms 37:3
Trust in the LORD, and do good;
Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness.
NAS

3 John 11
Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. The one who does good is of God; the one who does evil has not seen God.
NAS

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your wisdom we can find in your Word. Lord we ask for enlightenment when we get irritated with actions. Help us look to the big picture. Help us have a kind word for people. Help us be keenly aware of pain and let us not add to it. Protect our children. We lift our president and our leaders to you. Grant them wisdom. In Jesus name, amen

Good morning! How are we faithing? We deal with lots of things in this life and we are convinced most times we know how to fix things yet we continue to repeat the same actions expecting different results. We react instead of act and once those words or actions are out there, like a rock tossed across a lake, you can't pull it back. This Word we study contains all the principles we will ever need in life. Those principles applied will always yield results that are honorable and holy inspired. Will it be easy for us? Sometimes yes, sometimes no but when we rest on those principles and trust the creator knows way more than us, even if we don't understand, we will get where we need to be on any issue. I have stumbled and I have fell many times as you have to so lets get the manual out and learn how to operate in this life. Jesus lived perfectly as an example for us. We won't figure out all the intricacies of this life because we are finite beings but we sure can get on the path the creator designed. Thinking you have it all figured out on your own is foolish. Whether we like it or not, we are subject to the way life is. We are conformed to things by choice or not. If choice is what we make, lets make the right one. If we are flying by the seat of our pants and making choices from ourselves only, we reap what we sow. This is to motivate some thinking today...

James 4:3

Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
KJV

1 John 5:14
And this is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
NAS

James 1:5-8
But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all men generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man expect that he will receive anything from the Lord, being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
NAS

Luke 11:9-13
"And I say to you, ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you. "For everyone who asks, receives; and he who seeks, finds; and to him who knocks, it shall be opened. "Now suppose one of you fathers is asked by his son for a fish; he will not give him a snake instead of a fish, will he? "Or if he is asked for an egg, he will not give him a scorpion, will he? "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?"
NAS

Heavenly Father,
Lord, we seek assurance in this life that we are doing right. We stumble but continue to seek you. Forgive us when we fail. Teach us your ways and make our spirits receptive and in tune with you and not the enemies deceit. Thank you for your love for a motley crew like us. We praise your name and honor your holy presence in our lives. Help us be the servants we were designed to be, in Jesus name, amen

Good morning! How are we faithing! Some teachings we grew up with and some things said at certain times of woe are simply not true. We do not die and become angels. We do not fly around the clouds playing harps. Nowhere can I find where Grandpa is watching over me. It's a nice comforting sentiment but it simply is not true. Some people have said they talked to loved ones that have passed on and I am by no means disputing those claims I am just telling you what the Word says or doesn't say. There is so much in the spiritual realm we don't know but we are told to test spirits and if it at all contradicts scripture, it is not of God. We battle spirits and principalities all the time and being able to recognise who's side it belongs to is paramount. The only way we can do that is by the Word. A "feels good" mentality can lead us astray. Cults are born on that premise. Incorrect doctrine is interjected on that premise. A little leaven works the whole loaf. Be careful. Research. Read the Word. Verify.

Nehemiah 9:6

"Thou alone art the LORD.
Thou hast made the heavens,
The heaven of heavens with all their host,
The earth and all that is on it,
The seas and all that is in them.
thou dost give life to all of them
And the heavenly host bows down before Thee.
NAS

Colossians 2:18-19
Let no one keep defrauding you of your prize by delighting in self-abasement and the worship of the angels, taking his stand on visions he has seen, inflated without cause by his fleshly mind, and not holding fast to the head, from whom the entire body, being supplied and held together by the joints and ligaments, grows with a growth which is from God.
NAS

Revelation 22:8-9
And I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed me these things. And he said to me, "Do not do that; I am a fellow servant of yours and of your brethren the prophets and of those who heed the words of this book; worship God."
NAS

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your Word that is true. Lord we ask the eyes of our hearts and mind open to truth in your Word. Let us throw off tradition and sayings that are contrary to your ways. Lord we need to see you today. Comfort us with your Word. Let us not be deceived by any false doctrine. Grant us the wisdom to see truth. Thank you Lord, in Jesus name we pray, amen
