Good morning! How are we faithing? The lessons being taught in the Word are hard to take sometimes because who wants to face our own failings? We ought to be fast at looking in the mirror so the truth can be seen. It is easy if we bring to mind the success in past events and learn from the failings. Whining and complaining because things are flying against us and our life is hard sometimes...oh boo hoo. Grow some skin. Keep your faith alive and vigilant even when you don't feel it. We have momentary even hourly temptations come but we need to remember from where we came so we can remind ourselves of the struggle from before. I quit smoking. Man o man was that hard but I still sometimes want one but remembering the victory reminds me the momentary pleasure a cig might bring isn't worth going through that struggle again. Pay attention this week to where you've been and where you are going. Don't pick your path on feelings only but pause and remember. This will help you choose your path so you don't go through things for naught....

Heb 3:1-15
Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house. For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath built the house hath more honor than the house.  For every house is built by some man; but he that built all things is God.  And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;  But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.  Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice, Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:  When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.  Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do always err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.  So I swear in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.) Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.  But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.  For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end; While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.

remember those hurting and to look deeper than the surface...

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your love. Thank you for your truth that is the only truth. Lord, as things escalate, grant us courage and wisdom to stand firm. Put your words in our mouth. Show us the path we ought to be on and not one we made. Guide our eyes to the things that edify and not those that deceive...in Jesus name, amen

Good morning! How are we faithing? What a week and what a week end! The first day of this week spent in the presence of God was fantastic! After the events of the previous week I wasn't sure of anything except who my savior is. Man, this life can toss curve balls and like last week, every pitch known to man was thrown all at once. One bat, a thousand balls, strikes are inevitable but our savior can whack a home run out of all of em if we let him hold the bat. We have a Holy Spirit in us that if we let him work, we can run all the bases unscathed. Don't even have to slide.  Our savior already won the game, already defeated our foe, already gave us our victory so all we have to do is follow him.  I keep having reaffirming touches from God in my life and those touches remind me of what we have in Christ and what has already been won all the while battles that have already been whooped keep being fought.  Take counsel from the Word. Believe the Word even when what you see appears to contradict. The things we see is but a wrong image of true reality and that image is there to deceive us. The enemy is smart but our savior is infinitely smarter. We are the ones under influence of the enemy at times, not Jesus.

 Pro 1:5-6
A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:
To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.

1Jn 2:21-24
I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.  Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.  Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.   Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your Word. Thank you for raining your Holy Spirit on us. Thank you for another day. Lord, we lift those who are feeling sorrowful. Lift there eyes to you so they may take comfort in your arms. Help us be wise and to seek you beyond our present circumstances. Thank you for the opportunity to praise you. In Jesus name, amen

Good morning! How are we faithing? Ever tried to rationalize something you want but you kinda knew it wasn't a wise choice? Yup, me too.  I can rationalize that car purchase in all kinds of ways but is it wise to suffer for it? After the pleasure or temporary glee felt, was it a wise purchase? Or how about something even more detrimental. How about that offer from the beautiful gal or guy for a fun afternoon of sex and candy?  Please. We don't have to talk at length to know when we act on selfish things we pay the price. Worldly wisdom says doing those things are normal and cool while Godly wisdom warns us  because of the ramifications of all we do. Consider the cost and remember the warnings in the Bible are for our own good. So just like our parents told us to look both ways when crossing the street God tells us to beware of sinful pleasures that can kill us.

Eph 5:15-17
See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,  Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.  Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

Mat 10:16
Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
Ecc 9:12
For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them.
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your wisdom in your scriptures. Lord, help us be wise in your ways and not the worlds. Help us put our lives under submission to you. Let us recognize things that are opposing your ways. Help us remember and to see the bigger picture and not our immediate pleasures and woes. Help us make the wisest choice in all we do for your glory because we love and want to serve you. In Jesus name, amen

Good morning! How are we faithing? Today is the day of the rest of your life. If you are searching and wondering why things happen and why you can't find peace, wake up and face truth. Obviously the way you've done it in the past doesn't work or you wouldn't be asking these questions and especially here. You want peace in the midst of turmoil? You want a calm even when you are amped up on adrenaline? You want real vision and not platitudes that sound good but have no real power? Then it's time you face the truth that your way doesn't work and you need to step out on Jesus' way. Will it be super duper perfect nothing go wrong existence from then on? Don't be ridiculous. Of course not but you will be able to deal with a peace and a confidence  you had never had. Take the time today. Admit you don't know. Admit you are a sinner, God already knows everything about you, confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, repent from your way and your infractions. Ask Jesus to be Lord of your life. Find a place and group or church and get baptized. Start over while you are able. I don't tell you this to increase numbers at my church but for you to know the peace I do. To know without a doubt what is in store for those who love God. If you are practicing another way, you are mistaken because no one comes to the Father but by the Son, the Messiah Jesus. The time is hear and an awakening is forthcoming. A break out before the judgement begins today and you better choose wisely. I have to tell you this in this way if I believe what the Bible says. If I truly believe, how could I not?

 Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your message in the Word. Thank you for saving us with your grace and teaching with your Word. We lift those lost today. Let them see the light and to see you. We ask forgiveness this day and repent from all our unrighteousness. We accept your gift of pardon and ask you come dwell in our hearts. For blessed are those who seek your face  and find your peace. In Jesus name, amen

Good morning! How are we faithing? Like watchmen on the wall we believers go out to preach Jesus and we must tell all truth.  When we see danger we sound the trumpet. When we see things occurring that can hurt people we must yell it from the towers. There are things out here every day that are heinous and evil so the only way to recognize them is by studying the Word so we recognize them for what they are and not what they seem thus we warn without judgement of the person but of the deed.

1Co 2:12-14
But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is from God; that we might know the things that were freely given to us of God.  Which things also we speak, not in words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Spirit teacheth; combining spiritual things with spiritual words. Now the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him; and he cannot know them, because they are spiritually judged.

and;

2Co 4:5-6
For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake.  Seeing it is God, that said, Light shall shine out of darkness, who shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
I have gone through some things lately and it has not been easy. We all suffer by others hands and by our own but remembering that suffering is not new or unusual and we will exit the other side by focusing on Jesus is how we survive. If we focused on the suffering and didn't look for the lesson we are in danger of succumbing to the effects of suffering and miss out on God's blessing. Are you enduring something today? Do you need some relief? Start on your knees. Go to your prayer closet, read, listen to the Word and remember, Jesus already whooped this it's just your time to learn.

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your Word that all wisdom comes from. We know only you have everything in control and anything else is suspect. Help us be calm, patient with the view from your eyes. Help us understand where we need to be and what we need to learn. Help us have a repentant heart, we worship you holy name Jesus, amen

Good morning! How are we faithing? Have had some people come to me with concerns of what others are doing. It is very important that the first step we all should take when other than our own behavior is in the windshield is to remember some wisdom.

Psa 37:1-9  A Psalm of David.
Fret not thyself because of evil-doers, Neither be thou envious against them that work unrighteousness. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, And wither as the green herb. Trust in Jehovah, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on his faithfulness. Delight thyself also in Jehovah; And he will give thee the desires of thy heart.  Commit thy way unto Jehovah; Trust also in him, and he will bring it to pass. And he will make thy righteousness to go forth as the light, And thy justice as the noon-day. Rest in Jehovah, and wait patiently for him: Fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, Because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: Fret not thyself, it tendeth only to evil-doing.  For evil-doers shall be cut off; But those that wait for Jehovah, they shall inherit the land.

I don't know about you but it is hard enough for me to keep me in line. It's hard enough to walk my walk with God.  Encourage. Love. Ask the questions that cause that other person to seek God also and God will deal with their issues. Help when asked but don't get butthurt if they choose not to listen, it ain't on you and you ain't responsible  for their actions or inaction. Peter expounded that psalm thusly;

1Pe 5:6-9
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time;  casting all your anxiety upon him, because he careth for you.  Be sober, be watchful: your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour,
whom withstand stedfast in your faith, knowing that the same sufferings are accomplished in your brethren who are in the world.

Just think about these things this week. Speak if necessary but be sure to do everything in compassion because they ain't you and you ain't them, only Jesus is Lord over all.

remember Mark...

'Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your Word that sustains us. Help us be your ambassadors. Help us see you in all we do. Help us accept admonishment from you. Help us curb our tongues. Help us be who you want us to be. We lift our leaders and bosses and Pastors to you. Quicken their hearts to your wisdom and will. In Jesus name, amen

Good morning! How are we faithing? It's easier to run sometimes than to stand with Jesus in the face of all our obstacles. It's a whole lot safer to shut and lock the door than to allow anything in. Satan and his henchmen want us isolated, tired, bewildered, sad, depressed and any other state that makes us vulnerable to attacks. They are cowards. They don't want a head to head confrontation with a well healed believer. Jesus came so we may be holy and a by product is we get into heaven. Our salvation based on our belief in Jesus the Christ and our faith that begats good works drives the enemies of God nuts. As we learn more and act and think holier the enemy throws every fire our way in hopes one will stick and burn us down. Well people, our God already won these battles and as soon as we realize lifes struggles are his and not ours, we become more of a servant of God and do what he teaches leaving any fallout to him. I have struggles lately and wanted to scat off to some unknown town in Saskatchewan but that is not God's will but the flesh reaction. I'm staying. I'm standing on the promises of God. His Word is my strength and in it I will be strong. How about you?

  Mat 20:25-28
But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them. Not so shall it be among you: but whosoever would become great among you shall be your minister;  and whosoever would be first among you shall be your servant:  even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

Rom 12:6-8
And having gifts differing according to the grace that was given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of our faith; or ministry, let us give ourselves to our ministry; or he that teacheth, to his teaching;  or he that exhorteth, to his exhorting: he that giveth, let him do it with liberality; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that showeth mercy, with cheerfulness.

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your Word that nourishes us. Lord, forgive our sins and help us be strong in your might and not our own. Lord help us recognize things in ourself and grant the courage to step out in your grace to fix them and to press on. We repent Lord and try to follow your will but we fall down. Lift us up with your holy righteous hands, dust us off and send us out renewed with Godly vigor. Lord we do praise your holy name, in Jesus name we pray, amen

Good morning! How are we faithing?  I have discovered one of the ways that "the peace that passes all understanding" happens. Jesus came to serve and yet he also came in power. We are to follow Jesus as servants of God. Striving to succeed in life is not necessarily sinful as long as we remember who we are and what the goals are. We all have judged and pointed fingers but servant hood teaches us to be more concerned with helping others than ourselves whereas the former promotes self interests. Do you strive for that title? Even in church? Is the title what's important to you or the serving? Do you feel like now that you have the title you are allowed or suppose to judge? Not so. We have titles only so others know who to seek out for things, not to venerate us above others. You achieved a position at work? Good for you! You are promoted? Cool!  Don't let those things be a stepping stone to looking down to where you once were. In the body of Christ we all have a role and we all are on the God team. We all are to serve God and reach out to the lost, we just have different roles on the team. If you are seeking a higher position, consider the cost man because with power comes responsibility and in power positions you are held to a higher standard. Seek what God wants for you. Pray for insight and wisdom. Ask God to make the way obvious and to let your ambitions secondary to his.

Joh 12:23-28
And Jesus answereth them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a grain of wheat fall into the earth and die, it abideth by itself alone; but if it die, it beareth much fruit.  He that loveth his life loseth it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.  If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will the Father honor.   Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour. But for this cause came I unto this hour. Father, glorify thy name.
There came therefore a voice out of heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.

Good morning! How are we faithing? So many things happening in the world. So many things going on in this country. As believers we must be aware of deceit and twists of truth who's purpose is to condone behavior or coerce to another mans way of thinking. Pastors being prosecuted for refusing to perform same sex marriages? Isn't that the prerogative of the Pastor and why would anyone want someone performing the ceremony who's heart isn't in it? Go elsewhere. A person was sued for not wanting to make a wedding cake for a same sex couple. Would you eat a cake from someone who is made to make it? Why would anyone want to make someone do something if they know their heart ain't in it?  The media has played on all of our emotions and dictated what we are informed of. The recent court case in Florida, the shootings on an army post, the beating of a woman by three men, the beating of a woman in her home while her child watches, robberies, mayhem and yet we are fed the one story and people react from those news reports.  People, where is your trust? Who can you trust and who not? Are we robots that react strictly from media promptings? We had better take note of the way this society is moving because the only truth is in the Word of God. We had better do a little more digging on an issue that interests you. We had better be in the Word daily while praying for all these things or we will become victims of all this and will only ourselves to blame. I am urging pause in these times and to be sure where you stand because tough times are here and it only is going to get tougher.

Heb 10:26-27
For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more a sacrifice for sins,  but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and a fierceness of fire which shall devour the adversaries.

Jas 4:17
To him therefore that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

Rom 1:28-32
And even as they refused to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up unto a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting;  being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malignity; whisperers,  backbiters, hateful to God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, without understanding, covenant-breakers, without natural affection, unmerciful:  who, knowing the ordinance of God, that they that practise such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but also consent with them that practise them.

  Good morning! How are we faithing? What kind of power do we have? What are the blessings we have and how do we bless others? Do you ever think of how you may bless others throughout your day or are you just accumulating? Do you pay attention to others plight even in the midst of your own? It's easy to get self absorbed and focus on our own issues but the lessons learned in our own plight are useful for others.  If we focus only on ourselves we miss opportunities to pass on blessings we have from God.The reality of this world is that there will always be someone worse off than you as well as better off but that perception of better or worse is yours. You are viewed as better off by some and worse off by others therefore it stands to reason that from your perspective you ought to bless wherever and however you can, make sense? Instead of boo hooing over our own situation we ought to thank God we are  and are able. Just ponder these today;

Pro 3:27
Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, When it is in the power of thy hand to do it.

Jas 2:15-16
If a brother or sister be naked and in lack of daily food,  and one of you say unto them, Go in peace, be ye warmed and filled; and yet ye give them not the things needful to the body; what doth it profit?

1Jn 3:16-18
Hereby know we love, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoso hath the world's goods, and beholdeth his brother in need, and shutteth up his compassion from him, how doth the love of God abide in him?  My Little children, let us not love in word, neither with the tongue; but in deed and truth.

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your blessings in my life and thank you for wisdom in your Word that leads us. We ask for a vision that sees needs. Please forgive us when we stumble and miss opportunities to bless. Help us see truth. Help us be as compassionate as we ought to be. Sharpen our minds to truth. Lead our paths this day. Heal bodies, souls and minds in Jesus name we ask, amen
