Has anyone had issues with Under Armour and structure fires. I had a friend of mine tell me not to wear it, as it could melt. Anyone heard of this. I have guys that want to wear it.
Alost of guys in my juristiction wear under armor t-shirts, jobs shirts, and shorts yes it will prolly melt to your skin but as Michael said if it gets that hot you should probly not be in there or you have more important things to worry about.
I think that if your guys are wanting to wear Under Armour on duty, you should have them visit a burn center where they can see what the advancements of synthetic clothes can do to the body.....let them make their choice from there. TCSS
I wasn't asking for sarcasm. I was asking for honest factual opinions from my peers. Which is what the majority of my post consisted of. I have worn Under Armour with no problems in a structure fire. I was simply searching for more information before making policy on the issue. Thank you, I will be prohibiting Under Armour from being worn under turnouts.
