Due to the number of foreign reptiles bought to Florida and a number of escapes of some of them. Local emergency services have responded to check on spotted reptiles. At one incident a fire chief responded to check on one sighting.
After exiting his vehicle to ask a local resident where the reptile was, the resident then pointed back toward the chief's vehicle. A ladder truck was used at the scene to help the chief from the roof a third story apartment building after the snake was captured which took a number of emergency and animal control personnel.
