I'd say 1%. We are on pace for about 180,000 runs. I've been on maybe 1500-2000. Then again I don't have a choice when to respond since we are career. : )
97.3% of what?
I don't like to give that away over the internet. Sorry, just kind of a privacy thing. My engine company runs between 4500-5500 runs every year but I just put the number for what I figure I've been on personally.
99% at the end of October that is when are run year stops so they calculate are pay for November. (Self employed so the boss lets me leave for runs.)
They pay us yearly so we get a Christmas bonus sort of speak. I give it to my wife for Christmas.
I'm at 100%

Every call that comes in to the station when I'm working, I make.

:-)
I've made 97.3% of the runs my department was called for.
And just how many is that?

X * 0.973= ?
As a vollie, I think I make about 50% of the runs right now. Once the new quarter starts I can start getting the "thank yous" for making calls, I will keep a closer eye on my call ratio. I think I would be closer to 75%. But it seems that every time I am the shower for 30 seconds that is when the tones drop. Although last Saturday, I got on three back to back calls in 3 districts and 2 counties. On top of three calls I couldnt make earlier in the day, that is the busiest we have been for months apparently. High winds, low humidity, no rain for weeks, and yet people still think that burning in the yard is a great idea.
We average between 100-120 calls a year. I know it's not that many, but we are a Rural VFD. More calls than most in the area. The ecception is the City depts, they have way more calls. Our Top Ten responders get a T-shirt or sweatshirt at our annual awards dinner. Right now I'm # 8. First time in the TT in almost 4 years, but most of my jobs have had me out of town, so I couldn't make as many calls as I can now.
Well I haven't been a member for a full year yet but since I've joined I've been on atleast 90% but the ones I missed were because I was at work.We don't really get too many runs though most of the time because we are in a small town.
Currently my volunteer department is at 281 calls for the year & I have run 193 of them. The one's I missed was due to being out of town, at work or illness. If I'm able I respond everytime the tone's drop.
99% or 97.3% of what?

10 calls, 100 calls, or 1000 calls?
