Hard not to stay warm here. They call these Chamber of Commerce days. In the low 80's. But that's why we call the cost of living here a Sunshine Tax.

I gotta be honest, I fare the cold better than the heat. Not sure how all of you in the southern and western states do the 100 degree thing. I cant handle much more than 80 degrees if Im in shorts, much less in turnout gear all the time. My hats off to ya......
-29 (F... -34 Celcius) here, it will be -49 (-45C) before the night is over. Oh Lord I hope it warms up a little more by morning. I have to take my dog out in the morning, really early, before heading to a busy station as a shift replacement tomorrow... crap always happens on the shift replacements. Cross your fingers.

Yep suppose to be 20 -30 below for the next couple of nights and the high of 0 ..So guess I need to bring out the thermal undies... Welcome to the north country the news people said this am.......yukkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk I say
The temp here was about 18 degrees this morning. And last night when out training class let out the ground seemed to go from wet to ice instantly.

It will be colder here over the next couple days.
It's a balmy 16 degrees in Peoria today. Wind is blowing at 15 mph though. Haven't heard the wind chill.
More snow on the way.
I want to go where it's warm and play golf. Can't for at least another month though. Job stuff.

It's going to go in the single digits here in Pa with wind chills 15 below. I like the cold but not that cold
Not the warmest of days here in upstate ny~ we had an intense working structure fire here last Saturday morning, the weather was already a balmy below zero at 4:49 AM, when we got toned out. To give you an idea how intense, email me at pobrien1848@gmail.com, Charlton Tavern Fire 1/10/09 and i'll share some pics w/you. In all 23 fire companies in 4 counties were involved 13 on scene, and 10 on cover assignments. Fortunately we had no loss of life, but we did lose 2 structures each over 200 yrs. old, a popular tavern and a private residence which was nearby despite our best efforts.

This is what I woke up to this morning....nuff said!
