Here we are at fire school and just got to wondering how many firefighter nation folks might be here?? I am taking a pump maintance class. So far it has been pretty good. We have instructors from Hale Pumps, Darley Pumps, Waterous Pumps & a rep giving a class on valves from Akron Brass. We also had a class today on foam system maintaince with instructors from Hale, Darley, Foam Pro and Tim and Carol Rowe of Rowe Industries ( www.cafssystems.com ).
If you are here tell us about your class, pros and cons, I would really like to hear from ya!!
Several equipment manufactures sponsered a catfish dinner at the hall on sunday night after registration I went out for that but havent been back out since guess i am an old fuddie duddie maybe we will go out some night this week.
You mean the infamous Hall of Shame....LOL.... I have been to Texas A & M for FF1, FF2, Fire Instructor 1, and Propane Emergencies Specialist Class. I loved everyone of them. I am in New Jersey right now on training or I would be there for more training in the municipal school this year. Have a blast and enjoy yourself. Hope it isn't too hot this time around.
No doubt the Hall of Fame (shame) is one of the most memorable or maybe the most not memorable LOL but you cant forget the Dixie Chicken (kinda figured our northern friends would get a kick out of the name)
hey there, I see we got some Texans here. I was looking into moving to Texas Iahve lived in Alaska most of my live, and I am new to the fire service not quit a year in, I am getting my EMT 1 now and got my state FF1 cert. in May. I am half way done with my Fire science degree at University of Alaska Fairbanks . Anyone want to answer some question?
