I am a member of a Department that 4 years ago combined 3 separate Districts with 3 departments into 1 large fire district with 3 stations.

Many members were receptive to the changes and did all they could to make the transformation smooth. However after 3 years there are still quite a few members whom refuse to conform and join in on the shared company trainings/Meetings, Or refuse to Get on the band wagon with Many other things Including Wearing of the district provided Job shirts/Tee shirts but Continue to wear the retired Station named articles While at events or Gathered in a professional setting With the other Two Companies.

Looking For some input from others.

if they still refuse they need to be let go. Sounds like an ego trip to me.

Kyle, if the leadership of the Dept allow this YOU just need to let it go an do what your there volunteering for. You will always find drama within depts if you look for it. Again, if the Chief and or Officers allow this or ignore it you should too or find another agency

Chief Sharp, The biggest problem we are having is the training, We've implemented district wide drills twice a month We have a policy that 1 of the 2 drills is mandatory and we have members that show up but go out of their way to stay segregated Our line officers myself included have had numerous conversations with said members however the district officials overrule our decisions. I'm looking for advise to potentially get these members involved.

As I said, if the leadership allows this your beating a silent drum Kyle. My only suggestion would be per pressure within the ranks?
