The FDNY sees 2014 as the busiest year in their 150-year history. How will your department do in 2014?

Share your end of year totals, and break them down between Fires, Structure Fires and EMS calls. Be sure to pass along any other details you believe others would find interesting.

I'll share. We've made 56 runs so far this year, may see 1 or 2 more over Christmas but that will probably be it. We normally run 40-50 calls a year so this is just a shade busier than a "normal" year for us. We provide Fire/Rescue and non-transport BLS services to the town and 60 square miles around it for Fire, 150 square miles for EMS.

System/Detector Malfunction: 4 (All AFA's)

EMS: 29

Grass Fire: 1

Public Service/Assistance Calls: 8

EMS/Rescue Stand-by: 6

Severe Weather (Storm Spotter): 5

Structure Fire: 3 (All Mutual Aid)

my current paid on call department is at about 1400 calls dont know the breakdown

my current traditional volunteer department is at about 700 calls again dont know the breakdown

So far our dept. is at 592 calls 8 away from a new record for us. Sorry I don't have a break down to share.
