I've got Oakley 8" boots...spendy, but by far the best boot I've ever bought!!  These boots really were built for S.F. guys (Delta, SEALS, etc...) and Oakley did a great job with them.  Full disclosure I work for an Oakley dealer for my "day job" so I may be a little biased, but, in previous lives I've worked as a mechanic and have had plenty of top name-brand work boots that could never hold a candle to these.

thank you ill def. check those out... as long as they breath because right now my feet sweat like crazy. granted they are nice like out side on MVA or other things but just being in the station they drive me nuts i can unzip them pull my feet out and just feel how wet my feet are

My 8" Original Swats have been doing a great job for me for years, they are lightweight, comfortable, and I have never had a problem with my feet getting to hot in them. They start at about $90.00 and go up a little from there.
