Deer May Have Started New Wildfire

OJAI, California- The last thing California needs is another wildfire, especially one started intentionally. But that is just what Ventura County Fire Crew commander Dan Brown thinks he saw this week, a fire started intentionally by a deer. "I was patrolling a fire road and stopped when I noticed a deer violently pawing at something. My first thought was it was a rattle snake, but I couldn't see anything on the ground yet the deer kept pounding away and then I noticed tiny sparks flying off the rocks each time the hooves hit and then the brush flamed up and the deer took off."

I swear you should write a book or a series... You are so very creative !!!

Because Eye-Witness accounts are NEVER WRONG... !?!

The true story is my friend Dove, the WTF (White-Tailed Flying) Deer, is a fearless member of our forest fire service...

Dove saw some asshole throw a burning cigarette out of their car into her territory and she fearlessly risked her life trying to stomp out the cigarette before the forest caught fire

despite her best efforts and burned hooves... the flames over-took her... requiring her to retreat and go seek back-up...

Must have been auditioning for all the movie crews that are always filming around that area. Used to head up that way quite a bit when my family took us up to Lake Casitas.
