I'm trying to find a video I saw some time ago filmed in the USA where a dept was called to an industrial facility for a confined space rescue in a Toluene tank.

The video shows them using a disc cutter to cut a hole in the tank wall (under a fog pattern) and the tank explodes.

Is anyone familiar with this and any ideas where I can get a copy of it? I've checked YouTube, but with no luck...

This is a fantastic teaching tool for rescue classes highlighting scene assessments, hazard identification, etc.

Scroll down to Confined Space and there is a video called,
"Tank Explosion Toluene Tank (Phoenix Fire Dept.Nov. 15, 1984)
Channel 12 Newcast 26:00"
That's the one! Now I know specific details I will try and source it locally- I'm in Australia.

Thanks Megan! ;-)

Hey Ryan,
My name is Matt and im a cadet with the Moreno Valley College Fire Academy. My class just finished up confined space awareness today and CAL FIRE Battalion Chief Gregg asked if anyone could locate a copy of the video of the Toluene tank explosion and bring it in. If you could still make a copy that would be tremendous and much appreciated. Please contact me if you get this at mattverwiel@hotmail.com thanks again
Never saw that video Lutan but if you find it, I want to see it too! Thanks for starting the group.
