Our Dept. has about 35 active members, which around 5 are interior. We have a Cheif & 3 asst. Chiefs, a Capt. and 4 Luit's. We serve 1,282 residents over 33 square miles. Our station is in it's only village which it's population is only 400. The rest is all country. We have a 2010 International Engine with 500 gal tank, Crew Cab and is a 4x4 with a side-mount pump panel. A 2001 Smeal International Tanker with 1500 Gallons seats 2 with a mid-mount pump panel. 1991 E-One Engine cab-over with 1250 gallon tank with a mid-mount pump. A 1987 Salsbury Mack Medium Duty rescue that seats 9. A 1921 American LaFrance Brockway (our antique). That has two 100 gallon soda ash tanks. And it still starts with hand crank. We have a building for cascade system. We have 3 trailers: Decon, Emergency response, and Spill Trailer. We have all this on an operating budget of $110,000/year. We've learnt how to stretch our dollars over the years, and everything we do we don't just jump we put sometime and thought into it. We're just like everyother volunteer dept out there we only have just the few dedicated members, but we sure the hell get things done!!!!! Note on the photo, it is an older one about 2 years. The truck on the right is our old rescue an 1983 ford ambulance. The 1987 Salsbury Mack isn't in this photo.
