Favorite & Least Topics to Teach

Sitting here updating my powerpoint presentation for an upcoming class on Building Construction and was wondering what topics you enjoy or excel at in teaching. Building Construction would come in as my favorite topic with Pump Ops and Water Supply following behind it. On the other end of the spectrum, I think Spinklers or Alarm & Communications would come in as my least favorite. Stay safe and have a great day!

My favorite would be emergency preparedness in single/multiple family dwellings; least favorite would have to be evacuation protocol/procedures of high rise buildings!

Ya think?! They were not happy with the reports submitted! Gee, wonder why?! Maybe because, had it been a real incident, we would have had probable fatalities (FFs and civies) and I didn't like it? Hmm, could be! ;-)

Damn right there, Ralph. Where fools (a/k/a some responders) rush in, you have more victims on your hands. As the "oldsters", we are supposed to make sure newbies learn their stuff until they can do it in their sleep (which they probably will do some time! LOL!).

Couldn't agree more FW, I really do enjoy teachin the new probies and sharing my knowledge. Really satisfying after a good hands on or classroom session to look out and see a bunch of smiles. Makes it all worthwhile.

I can't agree with you more! I think Sprinklers is my hardest lecture also. I like anything "Hands On" Rescue, F/F Survival, Extrication, Forcible Entry...now those have some meat in em!
