girls being explorers?

ok so im the only girl in my post and an on top of that im the chief of the post. i get the feeling some of the guys don't like this but im not sure. especially since i beat them at some of our drills. do any of you guys have girls in your posts and what do you think about this matter? please let me.

i don't have a problem with it at all and the only reason guys get upset is that doing this makes us guys feel proud but then when a girl does it better it brings their pride down. nothing wrong with girls doing the job and if they're the best so what, less work for us guys to bust our backs on if you girls know a better way. jus try not to get too serious and have a sense of humor i've got 2 in my post.

I was an explorer on a post in MN and was a capt. and always had girls on the two posts i was on, and they were some of the best workers i had on my crews. So I gess my thinking is let everyone play and anyone that has a problem can just sit down and shut up.

A large percentage of our department is female and I would'nt put it past any one of them to out perform me at any time.

im the chife of my post but the eng company capt. is a girl and her crew loves her so it cant be that bad

i dont mind as long as they excel instead of goofing around on a call. besides im the only guy in my post and they hate me because im the capt.

We don't have an explorer post but we do have some female firefighters. I would put them up against any one in our county and they would probably come out on top. They work just as hard as anyone else in the department and complain just as much. We are a family, of sorts, and god help anyone who crosses them. Because by the time we got there it would be over and they would be standing tall over the body.

when I was an explorer by advisor hated me but i didn't care even though I wasn't the only girl in the program. Your a team and the boys should treat you with respect show em' whose boss.

If you can do the job then do it, dont worry what other ppl think. If you can beat the "men" then good for you, but dont let what they think get to you. We have 3 women on our crew & they can do the job just like me. I also trust them with my life just like I do the guys.

ya we have plenty of girls, some of them kick my butt at some drills. but i know that there just as good as anyone else. so if there are guys who dont like it, tell them to suck it up and deal with it. because my LT's daughter is one of my good friends and a fellow vol. firefighter, and i respect her more than anyone else.

well,
it is an issue for me, i dont have any girls in my station.....
girls are nice to be with us at work but not as boss coz they would never handle as men...

this is what i think, sorry if you dont like my post
