Recently, I went to an interview whereby most of my superiors were panel of jugdes. One of them asked me if I know the TERM " RAID" which blew my mind away. Is it really a firefighting term???? If it is, could anybody help in the definition
There are many terms in the fire service, some are universal, some are unique to that Dept. or area. I can say that I have not heard the term "RAID" here. Did they tell you after what it meant?
What was the interview for?
I have not heard of that term being used in the fire service. I also would be curious to know if they really think it's a fire term or if they were bluffing you in an attempt to get you to make something up. Perhaps it could be something specific to Fiji.
RAID
R-apid
A-ssesment
I-dentification
D-etection
HSA acronym for Mass Cas. Haz-Mat, N.B.C., attack. AKA Terrorist attack. It's more a military thing.
I don't know why they would have asked that since it doesn't really pertain to us. We might have to work with the military to assist but I don't see it ever as a common Fire Dept, acronym.
