We have a one mile 15% average downhill slope. I guess I'll try it next time we go down... with jake brake off... and watch if the truck goes through the golf course and stops before the river. Can imagine yelling "FOREEEEEEEE" through the PA

I told my guys when we rec'd our first truck w/ an FM radio in it...."the first time I hear music in the background over the fire radio will be the last day the FM radio is in the truck period!" Enroute to a call the only radio I want the guys listening to is the fire radio...end of story. Pay attention to the road, radio traffic, and locations. FM radio is fine during a parade etc. not during emergency responses.

I try to be nice, but it really gets to me when someone posts a response as if this were real. It is an insult to our FFN crew who would NEVER do anything so stupid.
