At least three firefighters were taken to the hospital following a fire engine crash near U.S. 290 in northwest Houston this morning.

The wreck occurred about 10:10 a.m. as the Houston Fire Department fire truck was on 610 Loop merging onto westbound 290. The truck plowed through a median and collided with a pillar, police said.

The firefighters were taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Thoughts and prayers going out to them! Best wishes for full and speedy recoveries!!
Another close call and why we kiss our loved ones good bye every time we leave. Stay safe brothers
The crew was fortunate to have not sustained serious injuries. The Officer was damn lucky.

This is a vivid example of: you can't help anyone, if you don't get there.
You said it Oldman! The video paints a picture which could have had a much more grim outcome!
