FF John Moore, a 34 year veteran of the Columbus Division of Fire died in the Line of Duty on Monday, March 29, 2010. FF Moore will be honored with a departmental Line of Duty Death Funeral. The arrangements are as follows.

Columbus Fire Fighters will be expected to be in Class A uniform for service and burial.

Viewing: Monday, April 5, 1800-2000 hrs, Mt Vernon Avenue AME Church, 1127 Mt Vernon Avenue, Columbus, OH 43203

Tuesday, April 6, 0900-1100 hrs, Veterans Memorial, 300 West Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43215

Memorial Service:

Tuesday, April 6, 1100 hrs, Veterans Memorial, 300 West Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43215

Interment:

Tuesday, April 6, approximately 1330 hrs, Greenlawn Cemetery, Greenlawn Avenue, Columbus, OH 43215

Reception:

Tuesday, April 6, following services, Station 67 Union Hall, 379 West Broad Street, Columbus OH 43215

John was a 34 year veteran of CFD, a soft spoken individule full of compasion. He spent the most of his carrer in EMS, he was a medic instructor, flew with Med Flight as a flight medic for years, worked some of the bussiest stations in the city, and most currently worked as a EMS training officer. John was found at his desk Monday afternoon. Rest in peace my friend.
