CHARLES STREET, DETROIT - Detroit fire officials said a woman died in a house fire Tuesday on the city's east side.


The fire burned inside a house on Charles Street, just east of Conant Street.

Fire officials did not release specific details on the woman, but said she was elderly and home alone at the time of the blaze.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.

Yea thats crazy.... Its 2 bad that the elderly women never had no vistors or family over. Its a good thing that her neighbors helped out with the up-keep of her property. They r some good neighbors. Its sad that the fire co could not get 2 her b4 it was 2 late. But hey shes in a better place now.... She will b taken care of now.....
From the sounds of it you wonder if she started in a fire in the kitchen to get warm. Using what ever she had available.
