Win a Fire Department Baseball Hat! "Guess how much a highrise hosepack and SCBA weigh?"
Highrise operations require firefighters to take equipment up to the staging floor, and then to the incident location. These operations require a myriad of equipment to be carried, but taking hose packs and wearing a SCBA is pretty typical. If you are at a station, or know these answers, can you help me answer these two questions?
How much does a 50-foot section of cotton jacketed 1 3/4 inch hose weigh with a TFT nozzle.

A mystery baseball cap for the one who accurately comes up with these two weights. The answer must be provided with proof that the weight is accurate. Statements like, "I put the pack on and weighed myself with it and without it, so the weight it X" are considered acceptable answers. A firefighters word is gold with me. The winner will be selected based on the first post to have substantiated their finding, either with graphics or data.
Having taught nationally over the past 30 years, I have been given a lot of fire department baseball caps. Some are outstanding, others are just cool to wear. The winner will be given options as to which hat they want and I will ship it to you.
This is the second time I have posted something with a contest in mind. It was not my original intention for this post but thanks to Oldman, it is now! My prior contest only had five people respond to the post so I sent all five people fire department patches. I have yet to hear back from anyone but I am sure I will. I sent out some sweet patches from my collection.

Pack 45-50 pounds
hose 35-40 pounds
By the way this is an educated guess I am probably off on the hose

The hose is going to be around 17 lbs of so; depending on manufacturer.
The SCBA's weight is going to depend on; cylinder composition, and harness configuration options, but with a 30 min composite cylinder and standard harness, I'd guestimate around 20 lbs.
And what does the one who guesses right win?

Captain Busy I dont think there is an answer that is more correct. There are to many varables but considering that the hose pack on the left looks like it has water in it and the bottle in the pack looks new.
I am going to do with a guess of 94 lbs.
I dont really care about winning an award but email me if I am right.

50 lbs., 27 for the SCBA w/ full bottle, 23 for the hose and nozzle. All weights found on product info. sheets. Just bored and felt like looking. Thanks for the challenge

By the way Capt, my dept does not use intersperio but my fathers dept does. i help them out time and time again and that involves moving them. Also I move alots of hose. I change my hose guess to 20-25 pounds
