YORK, Pa. - A small electrical fire forced the evacuation of a central Pennsylvania mall and left a contractor with burns to his hands and face.
Officials say the York Galleria mall had to be evacuated around Thursday night after a contractor replacing a fuse started a flash fire. Firefighters got the fire under control quickly and the contractor was transported to a hospital for treatment.
York Area United Fire and Rescue Capt. Justin Hovis says smoke billowing from the room forced about 100 workers and shoppers to evacuate.
Officials did not release the contractor's name.

this is why you should ALWAYS pay attention to fire alarms that are ringing....
"fire alarms always going off" so it says in the clip....maybe the next time it goes off people will take it seriously...god knows it could have been alot worse
We experience this way too often at the mall in our area. The employees are just as bad as the public. It doesn't even matter if there is smoke. Flames tend to make people move but not real quickly.
