my personal favorite is colonel jessup's courtroom speech in a few good men. its not a fire quote but it is accurate about service... the last lines in report from engine co 82...from backdraft, the "no iff's" speech...Heres one of my own, "In what other business can someone pick up a phone dial 3 numbers and get a bunch of men and women to go to where they are needed on a vehicle that costs up to half a million dollars and to their deaths if necessary for people they dont even know"

Gaelic quote I like so much it is tattooed on my ribs along with the maltese cross, the claddagh and celtic knotwork "An lamb a bheir, 's a gheibh" = The hand that gives is the hand that gets. Seems appropriate for what we do.

"Go Be ELESWHERE" I say that all the time
We worked a structure with a typical upset, FD isnt doing enough, citizen. My Chief with a straight face and calm voice told my Capt to "gear down so this nice lady could get dressed and go to work"
Best part was he sounded so serious my Capt wasnt 100% sure he was kidding
