Reported by FirefighterCloseCalls.com

It is with deep regret that we advise you that the Chatham-Kent, Tilbury Fire Station, Chief Bob Thibert has died in the Line of Duty after he was rushed to the hospital after collapsing.

The Chief was commanding fire crews at a working fire at about 0300 hours today.
Companies were called to a fire at a mechanic shop and the Chief had just requested an aerial ladder when he collapsed.

Crews began CPR immediately and Chief Thibert was rushed to a Chatham-Kent hospital, where he died. As always, our sincere condolences to all affected.
