Senior Project on Firefighting
i have been in my department for a while now an its come to my attention at school that i can do my senior project on it i was wondering if anyone would like to give me some help on ideas thanks.

Hey, how about if your project was about the issues facing FF in today's world; in today's building design, in lack of funding for some, the lack of incentives to bring in new volunteers. Firefighter/community relations. Just a couple ideas.
These ideas are volunteer related due to the fact that you are in a vol. dept.
As Mr. Mathis said, What kind of project are you looking to do?

uhhh i thought u had to do it on something that ur not an expert in? well iam doing mine on rescue. I wrote my paper by defining these: search and rescue, vehicle rescue, trench rescue, high-angle rescue, and structural collapse rescue and i also included a description of the equipment used. I am doin my product on vehicle extraction, and iam going to learn how to perform that operation.
I did turn in my final paper today too....

i have to do a research paper my topic is firefighter training an im trying to compare the difrent amount of training needed in defrent states as well as what kinda training is also out there that our state doesnt offer. i just finished my essentials class an im trying to find something out there to actually do that would make this project perfect.

I would do a paper on recruitment. Telling my classmates how great it is to help people out and the amout of respect you get for doing it... That is what I did, you can never stop recruiting people to join a wonderful department such as yours. We work in a very exciting field that gets the respect of all. I can remember being a young man (ten years ago) and taking a girl out and people would ask at the time "What kind of a boy is he" and the reply would be "he is a firefighter and it went along ways for me in the department with trust and respect. That is the angle I would use if I was you.
