It was march 1988 one week after joining the fire dept. we got a call for a structure fire with possible entrapment. first in unit on the scene called working structure fire with confirmed entrapment. This was in the village on community dr. in the end that was my first fire related fatality.
Um, no. If I went back and read the CAD I would remember it, but I can't recall what the first one was.
My first one was a structure fire on Bethcar Church Rd. I was a cadet at the time. I had my dad drive me there and when i arrived on scene everybody was running around. I had no idea what to do. Rusty came out and told me to change his bottle and i was thinking oh crap how do i do that. It was a double wide structure pretty much fully involved.
Yea how could I forget. It was a brush fire. I was so excited. I was running all around getting tools. Rusty told me and cory to hop the fence because the fire spread to another yard. Instead fo hopping over it I tried to jump it and my boot hit the fence and I fell straight on my face. It made Cory laugh his ass off. He told me to slow down but I couldnt, i was so happy. This was the one where donnie found a lady in the woods setting fires.
Of Course i remember i was still a cadet at the time and i rode with my dad capt. bailey out to millwood drive towards wagener were we were toned out for a struture fire fully involved...
