What is your favorite movie (leadership themes)? especially true stories that you learn and inspire you to lead, making a difference and so on. This movie shows the struggle of training, overcoming obstacles, winning the hearts and minds of your men and accomplishing the mission.

How about Clint Eastwood as Gunnery Sgt. Highway in "Heartbreak Ridge"?
Oh yeah, I've watched that movie too. That's a good example of leadership theme. from training of the platoon to the actual comabat. Thanks Jim.
Patton or Midway
That's what first came to my mind.

If you liked the miniseries you need to read "Beyond Band of Brothers:The War Diaries of Major Dick Winters"
Thanks Todd.

Okay, for those who haven't bought the book "Beyond Band of Brothers." Check out this his short reflections by Maj. Dick Winters http://www.historynet.com/dick-winters-reflections-on-the-band-of-b... I hope you enjoy reading it especially who already watched the mini-series.

I just watched for the second time of this movie: U-571 starring Matthew McConaughey, Bill Paxton. Matthew's character was not recommended to be given a command of his own boat. Because his skipper played by Bill Paxton is not satisfied with Matthew's leadership ability. Until they were given a mission to disguise their submarine as a German U-boat in order to capture the enigma commo code machine. Unfortunately, their own boat was sunk in the process and Matthew has to take over command of the captured German U-boat and there experience first hand to make a tough call.
