I started this group last week, and I see that I haven't received much activity on it as yet.
This Group is for senior members of the fire service that are over the age of 55. Maybe I should have named the group " On Top Of The Hill Gang " and then maybe I would get some activity. I don't want anyone to take offence by me using the theme " Over The Hill Gang " I was just trying to reach out to our senior members of the fire service that are still active. I know that there are a lot of us out there. If you think I should change the name of the group to " On Top Of The Hill Gang " or something else, please let me know. My aim was to start a group for members over the age of 55 that are still active. If anyone has any better names, or ideas please let me know. Thank you, and please be kind with your comments.
Mick, I aint going over that hill till I get my brakes fixed or run out of gas, whichever comes first. However, at 66 and with 48 years in this department and in county level service and having held just about every title from Pobatioary Fireman" and State Fire Instructor all the way down to Fire Chief, I'd be glad to ride the tailbaord, if I could be sure one of you kids wouldn't give me hell for it. Keep The Faith.
Padre, I'm not asking you to go over the hill, just looking for
senior members who have been around for a while that are still
active. It's nice to see how many seniors we have out there that
are over 55, and still active.
By the way, I was looking at your training grounds, very, very nice.
Well if you decide to reconcider, it would be nice to have you as one
of our members @ 55 But Still Active. Be safe out there Brother.
Mick,
I fought my first fire in June of 1969 ... I guess I'm as over the hill as they come.
I've seen so many wackers come and then go that I lost track when Ragan was still in the white house.
Sign me up.
Hey Bob, Glad to have you, I started in1971, not much later then yourself.
It's been a heck of a ride, but enjoyed it. I did leave for severel years due to
the fact that I moved, and then became a single parent, and my priority was
with my children.
Again, glad to have met you, and hope to stay in touch.
Stay safe Brother.
Mick
