The Rats(chiefs) are jumping ship. Two Chiefs from major CA cities announce their retirements days apart. I hope it is for personal reasons and not that they do not want to be around if/when their depts. are gutted by budget cuts.

Well, you couldn't blame them now could you? Could be they just have had enough of politics and bone head boards trying to cut what the Chief knows is important to the welfare of the community and safety of his people. Been there done that.

i think chief sharp and captain busy are both right its properly a blend of the two they know the razor is out on both sides of the coin
given that im half a world away from you guys i still keep one eye on whats happening to my brothers and sisters off shore
And guys Dottie has a point grab those vollys that you can and train them up if you read the posting about the restructuring nz went thru in the 90s i put on the muncie thread you will see we have allready being thru what you guys are going to experience
now this is the IMPORTANT part when and if the vollys arrive DO not allow them to be treated like second class citizens by the paid staff they are not just there to clean the truck and make coffee they are a valuable resource to be used appropriately
