Is anybody going to FDIC in Indianapolis April 20-25, 2009

Its still a little ways away but you better reserve rooms now! or you'll have to stay on the out skirts of the city. Princeline.com or do some checking around cause you can get it cheaper than what they advertise it for.. rooms are already almost gone so hurry up.
Does anybody have any good FDIC stories? I know I've always had a blast down there and I've only missed it a few times over 9 years but I know I'm going so I hope to see you guys there!

Last year was great, and I'm able to make it again this year! Flying over from Germany on Monday, attending Fire Investigation HOT on Tuesday (the police do fire investigations here, so I'm looking forward to that), classes on Wednesday and the exhibition till Saturday.

Looking forward to making loads of contacts from all around the world again, it's such a fantastic venue. I run fwnetz.de an online firefighting magazine and educational resource, so the plan is to do tons of documentation.

Would be fantastic to meet FN people (just signed up) and where can I find out about parties? Friday FN sounds good to me.

Anyone interested in meeting is more than welcome to send a SMS to 00 49 178 3121351 with some luck it might even be able to work. I am more than happy to talk about our firefighting here in Germany.

Here's how it works:

1. Come to the FireRescue Magazine/Firefighter Nation booth #3731 in the Exhibit Hall on Thursday, April 23rd from 2-6:30pm.

2. Be one of the first 1,000 people to get a free t-shirt with our exclusive design.

3. Wear your t-shirt to the conference on Friday, April 24th, come back to booth #3731 and get your free drink ticketK. (200 will be distributed ... but many more can attend the networking event with a few surprises in store!)

I would but I will be working all week and weekend, We are running short on personel and I have volunteered to cover 2 shift nights at the station til we get more good people on board. would love to be there though.

You can bet I will be there. My chief, a few fellow FF's, and I are all heading down thursday and staying till saturday morning. Its only about a two hour drive for us. For anyone that hasnt gone, the convention is really really awesome, should be even cooler in the stadium this year but the real fun comes friday night!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you can imagine one big city where all FF's come once a year to throw a big party. Yup. thats it!!!! I'll be walking around in a Hebron Fire Rescue shirt if anyone sees me, dont be afraid to say hi

I have reserved a room for Thursday nite.
I have to see about getting another day's pass for Friday.
I have a couple of things to do while in Indy.
I will be at Alcatraz for the soire.
Hope Dave has enough T-shirts and feather boas.

sad, I am very sad... I am not going to be able to make it to FDIC this year... I am going to have to try to talk the wife into letting me go on thursday, I work a 48 on tues and wed. and then OT for friday ... Happy to have to have the OT but FDIC is only 1 time a year... gosh soo sad... You guys have fun!

well things changed 20 times but it is Thursday and I am able to make it to Indy today! but I have to be back by tonight I have OT tom.... hope to see some of you guys down there!
