Here in SW ohio (Montgomery Co) we usually will get a weather alert toned out before it gets TV or radio time and depending on how bad we may get posted at the stations at night if its bad enough out.
We usually watch tv and my cousin Dale a Firefighter for the SCVFD Sugar City Volunteer Fire Department well he is the Capitan we go out and watch the weather and he hands me his radio to radio in if we need to send out a page for tornados or something...
Speaking of severe weather, when you get a tornado warning, does your siren go off immediately or do they wait and sound the alarm once something is spotted. I have heard many variations of this. I am so excited for the upcoming weater season because its chase time. I have a bad feeling about this years season here in the plains.
it goes immediately at first to warn but then it when a funnel or a tornado is spotted it goes off agian. and it is the whole county goes off . even if the storm has already past us so the residents think that there is more on the way .
