any new ideas for fund raising?

As an active member of our dept, I'm also involved in working the fund raisers. We have two scheduled food serving events (hog roast and serving burgers and dogs at the town fair) and we serve at auctions when we can. Our Dept even does controlled burns anywhere in the area (which is the HUGH one). But short of more dinners we're running out of ideas for other fund raising events. Anybody with any ideas short of selling magazine subscriptions or candy bars would be great. I have thought about doing calenders but not sure of the route to take. thanks alot

not sure about the gun bash? and we usually invite other depts to our activities especially the town fair cause we usually do a bucket brigade.

Here's a great fund raising idea. It is called a fire tax. This fund raiser is difficult to do but pays dividends in a predictable source of revenue. Imagine instead of selling chicken or washing cars or BINGO, or anything else that you could you could train with that time or actually spend time with your family.

yes there is a couple of depts in our county that are a taxed district, and we charge dues and bill for the call any that don't pay their dues, but it is expensive and hard to get the support of the people when you talk about raising their taxes even if it isn't that much.
