Our company has 2 engines (1250/1250), 1 Heavy Rescue, 1 mini-pumper (1000/300), 1 medic vehicle, an atv and a boat. We cover 48 sq.miles with 24 members, approx. 225 calls a year, 1/3 of which are motor vehicle accidents. Our station has 3 bays, double deep. Our original station is our office, banquet/fundraising hall, kitchen, rec area.

I like that old picture, our old station just got replaced three years ago. Our old house a two bay mechanics shop style building it had two doors in front and back . The day our 1991 grumman was brought to the station the house disapeared .That started us looking into a new one. We were able to find finiancing for our new 10,000 square foot building. Boy what a difference. We have two other stations with three bay in what amounts to a metal sided pole barn. But they stay dry & warm in the winter..

Keystone, Oklahoma not really a town but it's ours. 40 members on the roster about 20 to 25 active. 3 stations.

Central station... Engine 19 - 90 ford grumman top mount to be moved to east side when new one arrives, tanker 11- int 1200 gal, Rescue 10 - K 3500 jaws medical response, Squad 6 - 5 ton 6 x 6 1200 gal "the dozer", Squad 7 - 07 f350, Boat 14 , air bottle fill trailer.

Davis station (eastside)... Engine 17 - 71 ALF to be gone when new one arrives, Tanker 12 - GMC 1650 gal, Squad 8 - Chev 4 x 4

Station 2 (northside)... Tower 21 - ALF telesquirt, Squad 5 - 2 1/2 ton 600 gal "lil dozer" , Squad 9 - Chev 4 x 4

300 plus combined runs per year But already at 65

I am from Spring Grove, Minnesota. Here the population is around 1300. We currently have 26 members on the department. 8 of which have been hired in the last year and a half. We have 2 tanker trucks, 1 mini pumer, 1 rescue truck, 1 brush truck, 1 main pumper, and 1 back up pumper. Out of the 26 on the department I would say that only an average of 10-12 make calls. Mutual Aid is a lifesaver for small towns like ours. That is why you need to keep going to your mutual aid departments fundraisers and events. There response to your scenes is invaluable. Keep showing them the support. Our department runs about 30 calls per year.

Well, Creekside Burough in Indiana County Pa. is really small blink and you will have missed it. The fire station was built in about 1958, where it still stands today. Nothing fancy just a 2 bay mechanics garage with 1 engine, 1 tanker, 1 brush tk, 1 rescue trk. and our 1936 chevrolet engine, which still runs and carries santa clause every year in our neighborhood. We show 40 members on the books but only see EVER 10-15 for calls and about 2o for a general mtg. and about 5 for bingo and other functions. Well like I tell the chief " Its quality not quanity" small but happy.

Hi Robert, We were formed in 1873 and we are in our second station our second station it housed a liverly stable in it and we now have seven pieces of apparatus in it a 105 ft tower and a heavy engine\hvy rescue combo and a Heavy Engine a squad a hi ex foam truck for foam and ventilation purposes and two medic units we have forty members but we normally see 20-25 members for a call.Hope all is well and Stay Safe Brother. Ballinger Fire Department has been serving it's community since 1905 and has a population of about 4,200. It's station was built in 1930 and is two stories, it houses the fire dept, police dept and the municipal judge, it has 3 bays and station office and the second floor houses the department Wellness Center. We have an annex building that houses our training room and three bays. We cover the southern half of our county which is about 455 sq. miles. We run about 80 to 110 calls a year. We have one paid firefighter and 37 volunteer firefighters. Our equipment is 2- engines, 1- Rescue /Engine, 1 - Booster Truck, 2- Brush Trucks, 1- Tanker/Brush, 1-Command/Support Vehicle and 2-Parade trucks 1957 Howe Open Cab engine
and a 1914 American Lafrance 500 gpm engine.

Our department is extremely small. We have 2 engines, 1 tanker, 1 rescue and we just added a brush truck. we have a 2 door bay and at the moment the rescue and the brush truck share a spot meaning 1 truck is always outside. we cover a 3 mile radius, most our calls our mutual aid

9 bay station 4 drive tru, 35 members and as most of the above only about 8-15 guys are the only ones that make it on any of the calls until its something big.. It makes it really hard to trust the other guys.. Horrible to say but true. 1 grass rig/rescue rolls on every single call, 2 rescue units 1999 and a 1992, 1981 1250 smeal pumper, 2005 smeal 1500 pumper/ rescue truck, 1978 chevy 4X4 grass rig, 2003 chevy 3500 grassrig/trailer puller, 1982 chevy 2500 tanker JUNK, commend trailer, and a hazmat trailer. On order and hopefully here soon 2009 Chevy 5500 4wd. This will roll on all MVA's and Structure fires, it will be called our rescue unit but on a small department it will have new scba's so it will be there for that and lighting. I am very excited about that. Next thing on the list is a new Tanker or a the least new to us!! Been a busy year so far more fires already this year than all of this year. We average 500 calls a year, but am thinking this year may be a lil above. We spent 8 hours on a wildland fire it was crazy, the monday before on the sense for another wildland for 6 ours. Got to love being a volunteer!!!

The department I belong to we have 2 tankers 2 class A pumpers one mini pumper a squad that carries are extra scba and equipment and we have a brush rig.

Hello from Oriskany Falls, NY. We have about 65 members most of them are active. Two stations, one in village housing bulk of fleet (1 Engine, 1 Tanker/Pumper, 1 Rescue, 1 Ambulance and 1 Squad) and the other station located near middle of our district in Hamlet of Knoxboro (1 Tanker/Pumper). We average 250-300 Fire/Ems calls per yr (mostly medical).

We currently have a roster of 19 firefighters. We have one station and six trucks: 1 pumper, 1 mini pumper, 2 tankers, 1 grass truck, 1 squad. Our town has a population of 250, but we cover 96 sq miles and about 2000 residents all together.
