Exactly how big is your department ?

Mine has three bay's in those bay's we 1 brush truck, 1 salvage truck, and 2 fire engine and the ambulance set's out side for now . It's not very big in comparison to other dept. But we are getting a new station built down the road it's going to be nice.

30 members (10 actively serve) with 4 trucks and a transport squad operating out of a four bay station. a 2007 HME pumper (1250 pump 1200 tank 1100 ft of 4 inch supply) a 1995 internation commercial 4 door with 1250 pump and 750 water a 2001 international commercial 2 door 2000 gal tanker 500 gpm pump 1986 jeep brush truck with 90 gal tank and REALLY SMALL PUMP and a 2005 transport squad. 460 or so calls for 2008 and on schedule to break that in 2009 all volunteer

we serve about 600 homes, 1300 residents. Due to the mountain terrain I have 4 stations spread around the canyons. Apparatus consist of 3 engines, 2 tenders, 1 rescue, 1 ems , 1 mini pumper, 2 brush, 1 snow plow, 2 trailers and 3 staff vehicles. (sounds like a lot for a small department and it probably is) . Call volume average is 7 /month. Budget is around $100,000 annually. membership is currently at 17 active, 2 support. and 2 EMS only. About half make regular trainings

Hailing from the Erhart/York Township Fire Rescue Department in Ohio.We have ten bays,5 wide,2 deep,front and back overhead doors.1 brush/grass truck with snow plow/spray bar capabilities.1 crash rescue/pumper truck,1 engine(pumper),1 ALS squad,2 -3k gal.tankers,1- 60' aerial (full crash capability)1-Incident Command Chevy Suburban(full pull out communication ability),1- Special Operations Trailer(Water,Ice,Haz-Mat and Crash Rescue)that can be towed by two of our vehicles,1-'62 International engine(the first bought by the private FD before being turned over to the Township,for parade use only)and 1- Ford Ranger with a lift gate utility vehicle.One station serving approximately 2500 residents and more than five mutual aid communities.

We have 5 bays. We have 2 HME heavy engines (1 rated at 1500 GPM and 1 rated at 2200 GPM), one 1800 gallon International tanker, a GMC squad/ mini-pumper (brand new-in fact, we're still outfitting it), and a Ford pickup (for support jobs, like picking up hose after a fire). Our department has been around since 1953.

city is about 6000 we are funded by both city and county 2 4 door freightliners 1 2 door freight liner 1 2004 2 door gmc all are e one 1000 gpm 1000 gal tank 2 squads both 1 tons with utility beds 1 2007 chevy 1 2002 ford f 350 1 1997 surburban utility 2 trailors 1 24 ft command trailor, 1 18 ft trailor with air system on it , chiefs vehicle 2006 trailblazer, fire inspector veh, 1998 caravan

We (West Stafford, CT) are not really small, but certainly not large, either. We cover the Town of Stafford west of Connecticut Route 32 or about 35 square miles. Station 44 has morphed from a small 3 bay station built in 1946 to the present day seven bay metal building which has four drive through bays in the 1995 portion and 3 non-drive through bays in the 2008 addition.

We have about 7500 residents in our first due, and have approximately 40 members on the roster.

In addition we have a "Shared Assets" Station in the old downtown section in cooperation with the Staffordville FD in which both outfits have access to Res.244: 1998 Kenworth Heavy Rescue and ET345: 1992 Pierce Arrow 1500/1000. (These pieces were from the now-defunct Stafford Springs FD).

We run around 800 calls per year.

we have a normal size station that cover a lot of sq. mile and about 10 mile of interstate 80. we have an engine, tanker, medical unit (squad 4) attack, and a brush truck.. we also have a boat hazmat trailer and a firefighter rehab trailer. we have around 40 members 1/2 are active
