Ok, I'm considering getting some either grill lights or headlight strobes for my POV, but to be honest, I know next to nothing about them.
Which would you recommend?
What brands/styles would you recommend
Are they easy to install or would I be better off getting a professional to do it? (If I get a professional, what kind of place does that and how much $ might it cost?)
It depends on how many holes you want to drill in your vehicle. I do all of mine myself and some of the other guys trucks. In my jeep I have grill lights and headlight srobes, along with my siren 2-way radio, switch box, tail light strobes and other lights. (lots of holes and install time) In my new truck I have a visor light in the front and suction cup light bar in the back plugged in to a outlet (hard to drill holes in something you pay $400 a month for). As for the brands it all depends on what style you want and the budget you have. If you want more info there is sevreal threads about POV lights that you might find helpfull. Hope that helps, Stay safe
I would recomend a wig-wag flasher for your factory headlights, if it is legal in your area. They realy get drivers attention, and don't require drilling holes in your factory fixtures.
TIR3's are grill lights made by whelen If you google whelen and go to thier web site you should be able to find them. I agree with T.J. they are very bright for thier size and not bad when it comes to cost. As for strobes in your headlights check your local laws first some states are very strict about what you can have.
