We have a Christmas party every year but we cover our own area and we do not allow alcohol. That is a good way to bring the wrong image of the department.
We have a christmas party every year but we only have a couple people that are allowed to drink every year. Other than that most of us stay sober and cover our own area.
We just had our VFD X-Mas dinner/party at local restaurant. No FF drank alcohol just some guests did. All pagers were on and all members were ready to answer them. No booze at stations either, never. Merry X-Mas to all. TCSS
Yea for all banquets and parties the surrending fire companys do cover our area for us..also within the Dept for every social event we take turns so many of us not to drink so that way a truck can get out the door if a fire happens.... This has worked now for the last 5 years. we just take turns.... This banquet in Feb it will be my turn to not to drink and some one from the last time will be able.....
Sorry guys, but there is ABSOLUTELY no place for alcohol in the fire service anymore. We have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy at my dept. and it is strictly enforced. Any hint of alcohol, you will be asked to leave and you will not ever be back with us.

when we have our christmas party there isnt any alcohol at the party itself. and we dont have other departments cover us. but as for the no alcohol policy we dont have you. you can drink at the house but it has to be in a cup and if you are drinkin and we get a call you aint allowed on the truck but thats a givin..
