EMERgeNCY! rescue 51
What can we do to get Universal Studios to re make a version of the Emergency! tv show? Todays fire rescue shows are fun to watch at times, but are not good family tv shows. They do not seem suitable to me for young children to watch. I also don't like how patients are mistreated on the newer shows.
I remember watching Emergency as a young boy and I still love watching the dvd today. Could we start a Petition to start a new show that is more like Emergency?

So what you saying is Johnny and Roy never told a patient the cot is for people who are dying and your not? So if you want a ride to the hospital... then let's walk to the bus? Oh that right it was the early 70's.
Chris sorry but I thnk you are outta luck man... I own the entire series on tape... (yeah I know tape) The show WAS great. All of my kids have watched the series and I never had to worry about swearing or sex, (well Johnny was a little nurse panty chaser)... but in today's media market the show would not hold an audience without the sex/violence.
Do you honestly think most of the target audience for Rescue Me cares that the show lacks big fires, wrecks or technical rescues?

I agree with FETC, that the show would not stand up to today's audiences without some sex/violence. That being said, I think if they took the time and did it right, without getting too crazy like some of the episodes of Rescue Me, it would make a great TV series, (again).
