This morning at around 07:15 crews responded to a fire in a double block home. While working to rescue an elderly couple that occupied the home, Captain Jim Robeson, a 26 year professional with the Fire Bureau, was killed when the ariel platform he was working from came in contact with overhead power lines.
Despite frantic efforts by his brother firefighters and EMS, Jim was pronaounced dead at a nearby hospital. He leaves a wife and one son.
Saddly, the elderly couple also died in the blaze.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, his brothers in Scranton Fire Bureau, and the family of the couple that died.
