I'm going on a bus trip to New York City next month, with no guided tour. So basicly it's pretty much a free for all as long as we're back when the bus is ready to leave. I've been all over the city in a tractor trailer but, the friend that's going with me has only been to the city once and only got to see CBGB's. I'd like to take her to see the Empire State building, Station 10 and ground zero. I know that involves using the subways or busses, which I'm not sure I know enough about the city to get around that way. any suggestions would be very appreciated! This trip is being run as a fund raiser for a local fire company to replace some older equipment instead of putting it on their new engine. I figure since I didn't come up with the idea first, I'd help them by getting 2 tickets.

If it is a first trip go up to Rockefeller Center/Radio City Music Hall up 6th (Ave of the Americas) at 50th Street go over to 5th Ave and catch Trump Towers, St Pat's, and Saks. It's all about what you want to do. When my family wanted to go they wanted to go to Macy's at 7th and 34th, Empire State Bldg 5th and 34th and Times Square 42nd St.

I'm figureing about 10:30ish so I should have eough time to take the subway to 10 house, the trade center and go back up to see the empire state building before going back to Radio city. the bus leaves there at 8:30
