Texting While Driving PSA: Too Graphic? Appropriate?

Post your thoughts on this British public service announcement about the pitfalls of texting and driving for teens (and adults too, for that matter). It is graphic, and includes the emergency response to the incident. The video is about four minutes long.

We're asking the same question to members of our fire, EMS and law enforcement communities to see if (and how) the reaction to the video differs.

This is definitely an eye opener. If more people were able to see this it might drop the number of accidents were texting was a factor. Graphic, OH DEFINITELY but then again so is reality. I agree with other commenters that say the world we live in shelters our children from the harshness of the REAL world and that is the problem. They say "OH it wont happen to me" and then BANG everyone is quick to point the finger at someone else and not face the reality that someone else is sitting there now saying "Oh it wont happen to me".

I think that the censors in the US need to stop trying to be so PC and air and identical PSA here!

That is one reason I do not my phone while driving, is it graphic heck yes, sad especially with the kid in the back wanting mom and dad to wake up terrible. I also agree with every 1 else it should be shown to every one. Why hide the truth, i believe i have respond to a few wrecks due to this. Yeah it may scare people or young people but why hide the truth it need to be exposed. Job well done on this video.

Let's not hide this unpleasant reality from our young people. Can we get it shown in the US too?

NOt too graphic having been involved in an accident where I was rear ended by a woman who was texting.I was thrown out the back window of the vehicle and what is worse is the woman was driving a child care van.Luckily she had no children on board at the time. She hit me while I was stationary at lights and she was doing about 60km/h.I also attend these type of accidents so NO nothing is too graphic in my opinion.

WOW! This sends an intense and clear message that all should see. I will think twice about touching the phone in the car.
