StamfordFireMedia. The following video was taken from a fire in Long Ridge Volunteer Fire District in North Stamford (CT) on May 10, 2010. The video catches a Fire Chief getting a direct-contract blast from a master stream. The Fire Chief had no protective clothing and was only wearing a reflective rain jacket and bell cap. Fortunately, he was not seriously injured, but this should serve as a training tool to always wear your proper gear and expect the unexpected!

just plain goofy! Why would anyone cancel responding units before he was even on scene and knew WTF he had? Was it the same guy that got beaned by the master stream?

wow that was crazy now for one thing i do have to say, NEVER NEVER EVER cancle units like that until someone is on location look what happend once on location told a working fire asked for tones and also redispatched units that was on the way but put back in house when they could have kep on comming unitl someone was on location and said they wasnt needed now you have wasted time to re-dispatch and have a longer response time,,,, HMMMMM gues this is what happens when you make judgement calls b4 arriving on location and giving a good size up can we say MAJOR INJURIES OR WORSE OFF A DEAD CIVILIAN OR FF...
