Grt video by the way and if people could hear these folks in the backround obviously we who are or were in the fire service, know that these type statements show they have no knowledge of work and preparedness it takes for not only fire suppression but also size up and set up. All fireighters do a grt job the best way they can.

The way I see, is the truck company could not really do anything the way they were stageed. I agree with Larry, had the ladder been on the B side they might have had a better chance at raising the stick. Notice the power lines on the A side.. those are likely just telephone and cable tv.. harmless really.. in terms of shock value..but higher up.. the higher the voltage. Unlikely the power was disconnected that quick. It does appear they did a relatively quick knock down. I can't say anything real terrible, cept I did notice the first dude putting on a pack.. at least thats what I think I saw.. first bunch of guys without lids, so I thought it was weird.. specially for Fort Worth. I wish I could have seen the whole pic on the back side. Notice the bystanders talking.. some good.. some not so good comments ( I think) very important to at least LOOK LIKE YOU CARE and are in fact doing something.. bystanders can form strange opinions because they don't know. We know.. but all in all.. I think it was not a bad job.

I just have one question here...I cannot see why the truck company did not utilze the ladder to vent nor set up for rescue mode or even direct or indirect attack if required to the second floor....you have $ 600.000 plus sitting there put it to use ....it takes the place of a lot of ground ladders and it is quicker to set.

I think the ladder crew deserves an "F", poor ventilation and a absolutely poor job of spotting the truck.

Looks like a good job, but the truck should have been located on the "B" side of the building. The I.C. needs at least three more lines into the building, but someone is doing a good job.
