Question: Why, when completed would you leave the door open? Wouldn't keeping it closed tend to delay fire spread from the hallway, stairs, into this room? Are you considering the door open to indicate it WAS searched? Of course it IS so much easier to navigate a room without furniture, contents, twin beds,etc. But in principle, an excellent demonstration. Always remember if you come across a window air conditioner unit, pull INSIDE the room, get it out of the window! You don't want to drop it out the window to injure someone.
