Job Function: Captain, Firefighter / EMT-Basic, Hazardous Materials Team Member

My Training:: Several coarses through the Maine State Fire Acadamy, Need to test out on written exam for my FFI. EMT Basic in last year. Hazmat Operations, Wildland Hot Shot.

Day Job:: QA Supervisor for a company that makes Chemical warfare sutis for the Military.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS: My father was a firefighter for 21 yrs. on the dept. that i am currently on. I always went with him to the firehouse. I had alot of interest. It took a while for me to join because they never had a woman firefighter before, but I joined and can't seem to leave. Once a firefighter, alway a firefigher.

Why I Love Fire/EMS: It's in my blood, the thrill, the fear, the honor and glory of my duties.
