Thankfully, my town and all my family was pretty much spared from the damage. Other areas nearby were not so lucky. It was just heartbreaking. It's amazing to see how the state and communities came together and just jumped right into recovery mode. No one asked questions, they just showed up to help. Now it's sweltering HOT and there's no relief in sight!! How about yourself? Any damage from the storms?
Hi! Yes, it's been SO gorgeous!! Spring has definitely sprung! :) I've been waiting a long time to be able to sit outside and enjoy a book in the sun!! Hope it lasts...I don't want another cold snap coming through.
LOL! Yes, I believe "crapload" is a very appropriate term for all this ice. This is actually my first day back in the office this week because I haven't been able to get out of my driveway. I thought I would enjoy a couple of extra days off from work...but the truth is I don't do well being cooped up. I'm sure my husband was glad I was able to go back to work today too. LOL!
Anyways...the CDP website is: http://cdp.dhs.gov. Feel free to check it out and let me know if you have any questions. Stay warm!
Well hello neighbor! You should definitely look into coming to the Center, especially since you are so close! If you ever have any questions about the training, just let me know! Take care and stay safe! Are you guys snowed in too??
Hey Matt: Great to meet you. We can be a rowdy fun bunch - so come play with us. Come join some groups - The Back Room Crew and the Single Firefighters - if you like. I look forward to seeing you around the pages. Stay safe. Heather
however, if you turn around and face out toward the mountain range that runs along our coastline, you may get to see this as well... the grass isn't always greener on the other side.
your black background demanded that I share this photograph taken literally within minutes of my fire station... the area is called Gaviota and it means seagull in spanish... we have lots of seagulls...
Hey Matt...just getting in...had meeting at EMA tonight it lasted a little longer than usual, Villa Rica is north of me about 2 -2 1/2 hours. I have a cousin and some friends that live there also. I was there just a few weeks ago. Funny huh, when you think about it, small world we live in...to make things even easier...I'm south of Griffin 30 miles...in good ole central ga!...
