There are many ways to manage the forests and they change from ecosystem to ecosystem. What works best in your area?

So I have been bad about adding content to this site but this is week three on the road burning and I just haven't had the time. Comment by Matthew on May 17, 2011 at 3:26pm: Great group, stumbled across it by accident! I'm involved in the wildland fire service, and am a State of Alabama certified Prescribed Burn Manager. A lot of folks here in Alabama (and nationwide) don't appreciate that prescribed fire is a safe way to apply a natural process for fire dependent/adaptive ecosystems & wildfire reduction.
