Hey bud, yea I have been realy busy, sorry I have'nt got back with ya. Yea I was disapointed pretty bad. Man I flew threw the hydrant, hose carry, ladder, imprested the chief and R. Ellis with the venting hammer, no problems with the ladder carry, my DAMN boots kept getting hung up on the joist of the attic so I had to work extra hard lefting my feet higher, my regulator came undone when I entered the attic, and it kept hanging up. Sort of went down like a rock off a cliff. They made me stop to fix my reg. Then I hit the dummy hard and griped just like you said, but.... hit it so hard my helmet came loose and covered my face, I tried to thro it off but the harder I tried to thro it off the more R. Ellis tryed to keep it on (I know he was just trying to keep it out of my face, it was just hung up on my fat ass chin and would'nt come off or stay on. anyway, the dumbest move made was I removed my right hand to thro my helmet and the dummy slipped, I tryed to recover but I was petered out, could'nt breath (going to quit smoking), and just could not hold on. My dumb as droped it a good ways from the line. The f*%kin girl got it further than I did. But, I trained good on the mental, blew thru the test easy, did work out for the physical, its harder than it looks. But I know my mistakes now and will prepare better for it next year. Appreciate the help you and Brandon gave , sorry I let ya down. But if it was easy you would be working with girl scouts. Keep in touch. Oh if you know any body lookin' for a good bike I am puttin mine up for sale.. Asking 15k has arround 12K miles. we'll see ya arround. JT

Thanks for the note. I just finished a reply on the CVFD page. I was taking meds for this cold and had no business fighting fire. I was in another world, but I think it may be helping. Thanks again.
hey bud, I would give you a holler but, I would not know how to get a hold of you. I went and hung out at station 2 with your bro, wednsday for little bit, we tryed to make a moutain dew glow stick myth, that we proved didn't work but got to be arround CFD engines and see what paid FF get to use. That was really cool of them to let me visit. If I knew somebody important enough I would join in a HEARTBEAT. but we will see how things go. Yea, man I try to get with you when I am up at 16 (alot) but you will find me there on thursday nights training with Wade K and his crew or my night is coming up on this saturday, but I usually am up there at least every other day. They only do 2 nights a month (not enough for me) so I go every minute I can, my wife is pretty cool about it, so. Alright bro I will cut you loose, stay low, stay safe, take care of that little princess, after all thats why we do it. JT 1671

I have all of the photos taken that day if you want them, if you haven't got them from Butch already. Be careful and thanks for your support, I do appreciate it.
We had a good extracation last night on the memorial drive extention about 2:30 am. A guy went off the right shoulder then over corrected the rolled off the left side down a 15-20 ft bank. THe truck was sitting on the driver side. We used the rescue jacks and some wedges to crib it. then we just cut the a b and c post on the padenger side and flapped the roof down and got him out pretty easily. Is was Lenord's first so it was pretty cool.Have a good shift at the big house!!!
