I'm actually a volunteer there...the career side is controlled by the city. they're not hiring right now though. they just finished hiring about a month ago and probably won't hire again for a while
I don't know exactly what I would use at this point. I collect what I think would be interesting in perticular areas that I may not have a representative of. Then when I am updating the my general classes in fire or rescue that the state is so weak with, I will pull from and augment them to better explain to new students what I am trying to get across. Just a couple of examples of how I may use some are different wreck pic and getting the students to give a scene size up upon arrival or the same with house fires. Example of thaat would be your first house fire. First I would show the pic from the front with minor damage and then the one with the LP tank and get them thinking about the walk around they didn't do before attack. Always interested in bus pics. Anyway if you do not think this would be a benefit to students, then I just will go elsewhere. Thanks for your time if I may use them, Jim
Hello back Aaron, I have taugh in the weekend school in the past. I haven't the last couple years. Would be interested in teaching in it again if you have any influience in the process. As you have seen probably, I teach FF 1&2 , RT and lots of specialties including a special individual program called Rigging for Rescuers. This deals with overhead lifting, OSHA, crane use, wenches, come-a-longs, wire rope, industrial webbing, and chain Use. Also I can tie it to ladder and timber rigging that we teach only pieces parts through out the specialty rescue programs that suppliment the RT . Jim
